University as a factor of Modernization of Russia: History and Prospects (to the 55th anniversary of the I.N. Ulyanov ChSU)

- The article is dedicated to Alexander Vladimirovich Volkov (1992–2023), a scientist-archaeologist, a member of the search team «St. George's Ribbon», who worked as the head of the sector of archaeology and ancient history of the Chuvash National Museum. He was known for his multifaceted activities in different fields. The purpose of our article is to restore the facts of his biography and to characterize the main directions of his activities on the basis of documentary, scientific works and oral history sources collected by us. A young scientist, archaeologist, he consciously came to the search movement and consciously volunteered for a special military operation to defend the Motherland, where he died heroically. Alexander put a lot of effort to preserve the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, now it is our duty to keep his memory alive.
