The article characterizes the activity of the archival service of the Udmurt Republic on the formation of knowledge about military history: preparation of editions of archival documents, Internet-projects, providing access to archival sources; it gives an overview of the content of the Udmurtia Archive Fund and collections of documents on the history of the Great Patriotic War.
