    Abstract:
    The article reports the pecularities of the coverage of the war period in the multivolume «Сhuvash Encyclopaedia». Theme and biographical war articles have been analysed. The articles containing war information show the military and labour contribution of Сhuvashia into the victory over the nazi Germany.
