    Abstract:
    The article examines a complex of activities and problems of upbringing and education, as well as the contribution of economics and the organization of industrial production during the Great Patriotic War; in particular: school in wartime; experimental activities aimed at increasing the level of knowledge; the history of the creation of the Khaidarkan mercury plant; the important contribution of the Khaidarkan mercury plant to the victory of Soviet troops over the fascist invaders.
