    Abstract:
    Microfinance institutions are demonstrating a consistently high rate of expansion worldwide. In the Russian Federation, these organizations play a vital role in the financial ecosystem. They provide access to loans for small businesses, and their services are also important for individuals whose income levels do not allow them to qualify for standard banking products. The existing microloan regulation system in Russia requires development, as the microfinance sector is characterized by serious problems, including high interest rates, risky lending terms, and unfair practices by some lenders. The purpose of this study is to examine the development of microloan regulation in Russia. This article utilizes research methods such as theoretical source analysis, statistical data, and comparative analysis. Indicators characterizing the performance of microfinance organizations in the Russian Federation for 2021-2025 were analyzed.

    Abstract:
    В статье рассматриваются особенности микрофинансирования как эффективного инструмента расширения доступа к финансовым услугам малых предприятий, индивидуальных предпринимателей и экономически активного населения, имеющего предпринимательский потенциал, но низкие заработки. Предложены рекомендации по развитию микрофинансирования, включая меры по снижению процентных ставок, государственную поддержку МФО и повышение финансовой грамотности.
