The article is devoted to the study of Slavic borrowings in the English language. It examines the historical and linguocultural aspects of the penetration of Slavic words into the English lexicon, their classification by spheres of use, and the degree of adaptation to the phonetic and morphological norms of the English language. Special attention is paid to the most common borrowings related to culture, everyday life, geography, and politics, as well as the process of their integration into modern English. The article shows how linguistic interaction reflects historical contacts between nations and contributes to the expansion of the English lexicon.
