Abstract

The article raises the problem of trust as a factor in the psychological safety of the personality of members of virtual communities in the process of exchanging knowledge and information. The author agrees with the researchers that psychological safety can be an important factor in promoting knowledge sharing in virtual communities. Empirical data on the study of the factors of trust and distrust among familiar and unfamiliar people and the degree of students' sense of security as participants in virtual communities are presented.
