the article describes the life of the Golionov family during the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945. It was these years that affected the lives of children, women, men and the elderly, because the war did not spare anyone. Our study traces the combat path of Alexander Pavlovich Golionov from Voronezh to the capital of Czechoslovakia, as well as his sons Vasily Alexandrovich and Vladimir Alexandrovich, who also took part in the war. And more about the children of war: The Golionovs Zinaida Ivanovna – my great-grandmother, Zinaida Alexandrovna, Ekaterina Alexandrovna, Alexandra Alexandrovna.

the article examines the events of the Great Patriotic War, which had a great impact on the educational process of Vologda school No. 8. From the very beginning of the fighting with the German troops, all school education was subordinated to wartime. The learning conditions were difficult, in addition, there was a high dedication of students and teachers in helping the front. After the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, events related to the defense of the Motherland were actively used in the patriotic education of the younger generation.
