The paper examines the pedagogical risks and limitations of using virtual reality technologies in teaching Russian history at the level of secondary vocational education. The methodological framework combines comparative and theoretical–methodological analysis of Russian and international studies on VR technologies with a classification of the risks identified by researchers.
