    Abstract:
    The formation of high moral qualities and patriotic ideals among young people is one of the main tasks of modern education. Patriotism is the basis of state security. Students of a technical university, future engineers are carriers of knowledge about innovative technologies. Special attention should be paid to the patriotic education of students of a technical university. The research conducted in the chapter shows an insufficient level of patriotism among students. The directions of work with students in the process of teaching are shown. If the teacher is a patriot, his students will also become patriots. Attention should be paid to the education of migrants who study at Russian universities. They should become patriots of their new homeland. The stages of patriotic education are distinguished: motivational, project, analytical.

    Abstract:
    The article is devoted to the actual problem-social and pedagogical support for the formation and development of a highly moral personality of a schoolboy who is aware of the responsibility for the present and future of his country. The author analyzes the main directions of the teacher's educational activity, in particular, considers the requirements imposed by the federal state educational standard for the level of civil and patriotic education of primary school students. Kirova K. M. describes the structure of the educational activity program "I am a citizen of Russia!". Differentiates between the value of theoretical knowledge and practical problem solving. In the article, the author gives an example of the practical orientation of this program, measures to implement the directions of educational work and the intermediate results of its activities.

Respect for the representatives of various nationalities and denominations of religion becomes every year an increasingly relevant topic. In this regard, spiritual, moral and patriotic education becomes a guarantee of a correct civil position.
