The Topical Issues of the Humanities and Social Sciences- Author:
- Lidiia S. Koroliova
- Work direction:
- Филология в системе образования
- Abstract:
- The article discusses methods and techniques for organizing research activities of high school students using linguistic dictionaries. Based on the material of two lines of the Russian language teaching and learning materials for grades 10-11 (L.M. Rybchenkova, A.G. Narushevich and N.G. Goltsova, I.V. Shamshin), the analysis of types of exercises focused on working with spelling, explanatory, orthoepic, etymological dictionaries, as well as project assignments is carried out. It has been shown that both textbooks provide didactic material, but additional development of tasks aimed at comparative and diachronic analysis of dictionary entries is required for systematic research work.

Ethnicity in Urban Space: Representation Practices and Research Approaches to Studying the Topic
Research Article
Ethnic Culture Volume 8 No 2- Author:
- Ekaterina A. Iagafova
- Work direction:
- Ethnography, Ethnology and Anthropology
- Abstract:
- The article examines research experience in the representation of ethnicity in urban environments, analyzing the work of Russian and international scholars on the topic. It identifies and characterizes the main forms and methods of demonstrating ethnic culture, explores the role of representational practices in shaping the sociocultural space of the city, and outlines the principal areas of research. The material is analyzed in terms of its thematic focus, subject area, and the methodological approaches employed by the researchers. The results demonstrate that the representation of ethnicity is linked to the formation of an ethnic image (“one's own”, “the Other”). The subject of the research encompasses the methods of ethnicization of urban space as a symbolic and functional “appropriation” of the urban environment; the means of representation expressed in textual, visual, and material forms; and the role of ethnic communities and the national-cultural public organizations representing them in this process. Technologies for representing and preserving ethnic culture, understood as a set of methods and tools for its preservation — including through its construction — involve practices such as staging public events (“staging ethnicity”), urban design, and the symbolic development of space in the creation of ethnically marked community canteens and retail outlets.

- Abstract:
- The paper presents the results of a study on the physicochemical properties of water and their role in natural and biological systems. An analysis of the water molecule structure was carried out, and its key characteristics — high heat capacity and selective dissolving power — were demonstrated experimentally. The significance of these properties for stabilizing the environment and supporting vital functions was also assessed. The aim of the study was to demonstrate the fundamental importance of water’s anomalous properties, which are often perceived as commonplace. The results confirm that the polarity of the H₂O molecule, the developed network of hydrogen bonds, and the resulting physicochemical characteristics determine water’s indispensable role in physical, chemical, and biological processes.

Book Chapter
Current issues of pedagogy and psychology- Author:
- Spartak G. Aleksandrov
- Work direction:
- Глава 15
- Abstract:
- In today's rapidly evolving technological landscape, the concept of «smart homes» has evolved beyond mere appliance control. Automation systems like «KNX» offer new opportunities for enhancing comfort, safety, and efficiency in daily life. In an era where health, productivity, and energy conservation are of utmost importance, integrating «smart» technologies into sports programs and daily routines has become increasingly relevant. This research aims to explore the potential of automation systems in supporting athletes' training and recovery processes, potentially improving their functional performance and physical readiness. The purpose of the work is to analyze the impact of the Smart Home system on the physical condition of athletes during physical training. The research objectives included: studying automation systems and their theoretical foundations; analyzing popular digital protocols; evaluating the impact of Smart Home systems on household processes in indoor environments; identifying the level of awareness among students about the concept of an «intelligent home»; and determining the nature of the influence of automated electronic systems on the training process and recovery of athletes. The object of the study is the Smart Home automation systems and their application in everyday life. The subject of the study is the impact of automation systems on the optimization of the training process, recovery, health, and safety of athletes. The hypothesis was formulated: the use of Smart Home automation systems, such as KNX, will improve the training process, accelerate the recovery of athletes, reduce the risk of injuries, and increase the energy efficiency of sports facilities. The following methods were used in the research process: analysis of literary and Internet sources; sociological survey; programming and configuration based on «ETS» for «KNX»; analysis and generalization of the results obtained. The results obtained confirmed the possibility and expediency of introducing the electronic system «Smart House» in the process of physical and sports training. When preparing the chapter of the collective monograph, the results of the scientific and creative activity of the author of this work were used together with the graduate of the Krasnodar branch of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, A.E. Bondarenko, who carried out the completion and configuration of computer programs of the automated system «Smart House» [2].
