  • The impact of using chatbots on learning a foreign language in a non-linguistic university

    The relevance of this study is determined by the fact that artificial intelligence and neural network chatbots are playing an increasingly important role in higher education; they often take over traditional methods of teaching a foreign language in non-linguistic universities. At the same time, the issue of the advantages of using artificial intelligence in teaching a foreign language remains open. The purpose of the chapter is to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of using neural network chatbots in the process of teaching a foreign language in comparison with traditional teaching methods. To achieve this goal, the author uses experimental teaching of English to first-year future culturologists. As a result of the study, it was found that the process of assimilation of foreign language material when teaching a foreign language using chatbots differs from the process of assimilation while teaching traditionally. Significant differences were noticed at the stages of formation of motivation, presentation of new foreign language material, comprehension and rethinking of the new lexical and grammatical material. Such phenomena as clip thinking, the Google effect, and the devaluation of students’ memory with the constant use of digital devices have a particularly strong influence on changes in the learning process. Techniques are proposed to neutralize the negative impact of neural network learning on students, when implemented, an increase in the effectiveness of teaching a foreign language using neural network chatbots is observed.

Depending on what the wages will be, the standard of living of citizens depends, and this is an extremely important factor in the development of the state as a whole.     The authors of the chapter review individual and group counseling based on modern psychodiagnostics methods and a personal approach. In general, a modern person is becoming increasingly busy, feeling a gap between the number of activities he wants to complete and the ability to complete them in a timely, stress-free manner. During the process of academic learning, students face the need to rebuild their way of using time as a resource, as well as other resources associated with it, thus becoming more organized, which has an impact on the results of their activities. In the event of academic environment, as for students participating in the educational process, sources of stress are either at the academical level: people in a group with close relationships, individual teachers, group membership, competition with peers. Also, tense relationships with decision makers, who makes amendments at the level of the system, institution, various events in public life. Regarding sources of stress, they can also be found at the level of the educational activity itself: the nature of tasks, their volume, complexity, deadlines, restrictions, learning conditions, unjustified rules and habits, ambiguity of functions, student’s lack of desire to assign them.     The chapter is devoted to the study of some aspects of the attitude of medical students to the stage of distance and «traditional» – full-time education. The relevance of the study is given by the fact that at present in Russia and around the world the pandemic of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 has not yet ended, despite a significant decline in the past few months. The objects of the study were 400 people – men and women studying at the Voronezh State Medical University. N.N. Burdenko, divided into 2 groups of 200 people. Group 1 included 200 students, men and women of the 4th year of the medical faculty of VSMU. N.N. Burdenko, who, in fact, spent more than half of their total education at the university in distance learning (continuing partly from spring 2020 to spring 2022). Group 2 consisted of 200 people, men and women, 6 courses of the medical faculty of VSMU. N.N. Burdenko, who, in fact, spent more than half of their total education at the university in the «traditional» – full-time study mode (despite some periods of distance learning due to COVID-19). The study was based on an anonymous questionnaire specially developed by the authors, aimed at studying the gender and age composition of respondents, determining their academic performance, identifying a general attitude to the period of distance and traditional education, with an assessment of the effectiveness of each period (on a 10-point scale). Then, in the questionnaire, the subjects were asked to determine the positive and negative aspects of each stage of education (full-time or distance), as well as to «determine» the transition from distance to full-time learning again and to speak about a possible desire to return the distance learning period to a permanent basis in a comprehensive learning process in medical school. The data obtained are of particular interest not only for scientists and researchers involved in pedagogy and psychology, but also for all higher education teachers involved in the educational process in medical universities.

    Strategic management of spatial development of the agricultural sphere is organized as a single integrated system in which its constituent elements are aimed at contributing to the overall result. In the new economic conditions, the decisions announced in the «Strategy for the Development of agro-industrial and fisheries complexes of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030» dated April 12, 2020 №. 993-р, in the State programs «Integrated development of rural territories», «Effective involvement in the turnover of agricultural land and the development of the reclamation complex of the Russian Federation», «The state programs for the development of agriculture», «The Development of the fisheries complex», «The Federal Scientific and Technical Program for the Development of Agriculture for 2017–2030», etc. should systematically identify development opportunities on the one hand, and influence the entrepreneurial initiative on the other hand, and, therefore, require systematic monitoring and elimination of parallelism in management decisions. Under the sanctions imposed by Western countries against Russia, agriculture remains the leading industry in the country's economic system. In the new economic conditions, the management of spatial development of agriculture is in urgent need of scientifically based planning and forecasting of economic resources, including managerial personnel. The development and substantiation of an up-to-date resource forecasting methodology corresponding to modern conditions of agricultural development is the most important task of managing the spatial development of the industry. In addition, the key role of the digital economy and digitalization in the management of the agar sector in modern conditions serve as a tool for the transition of the industry to a new technological level, since, on the one hand, they were previously unused sources of achieving economic growth of agricultural industries, efficiency and efficiency of management processes, and, on the other, they become a powerful incentive innovative spatial development of rural areas of the country, especially geostrategically important macro-regions. The study presents an analysis of a significant amount of factual data, on the basis of which meaningful conclusions are made: it is established that strategic scenario planning and forecasting of spatial development processes of individual branches of agriculture belong to the methods of public administration and are necessary economic tools during the crisis; the current methodology of forecasting human resources in the field of management is substantiated, which corresponds to the modern conditions of development of individual macro-regions, and is also the most important state task in the strategic management of agriculture; an economic model is constructed that allows assessing the need for managerial personnel in the medium term, taking into account the influence of external economic factors; the use of digital technologies in agricultural organizations, costs are analyzed on scientific research in the field of science «agriculture», the level of innovation activity, the costs of organizations for innovation activities, as well as the volume of innovative products on the example of individual subjects of the Federation.
