- Abstract: the article examines the possibilities of using the components of the digital educational environment in teaching for younger students to form "universal competencies" in extracurricular activities. The deficits in the level of readiness to use digital educational resources in education among students in grades 3-4 are considered. A modular online course on the Stepik platform has been implemented in extracurricular activities for primary school children, allowing them to form universal competencies and a new literacy in the field of traffic rules, in the organization of detachments of young traffic inspectors.

- The authors conducted a study of the influence of the digital environment as an educational space on the development of the intellectual abilities of younger schoolchildren; at the ascertaining and control stages of the experiment, diagnostics of the intellectual development of students based on testing was used; the formative experiment included 12 lessons using the Central educational System in the academic disciplines of primary school; the results confirmed that the use of digital educational resources contributes to the disclosure of intellectual abilities primary school students.

Formation of the Professional Communicative Personality in a Digital Environment

- Abstract:
- The chapter analyzes the needs of the modern labour market for highly qualified professionals with a highly developed professional communicative personality, and the possibility of forming the professional personality based on at least two communicative competencies developed on the basis of the native and foreign languages. Based on the study, the author has identified significant characteristics of the digital environment in relation to the goals of heterogeneous and autonomous learning, relevant for both distance and open learning, their positive impact on the effectiveness of the educational process and its results, coming to a conclusion of the importance of the digital environment for the gradual transformation of “pedagogy of teaching” into “pedagogy of opportunity” (R. Arnold, 1993). Based on the conducted analysis of previous definitions, the author offers and justifies her own definition of “professional personality” and sets out her own concept of the linguistic personality, which combines the concept of a linguistic personality developed by Yury Karaulov and the concept of a secondary linguistic personality developed by Irina Khaleyeva, as well as the hypothesis proposed by Lyubov Yarotskaya. The work emphasizes the importance of introducing ICTs and hypermedia into foreign language teaching programmes for an effective formation of communicative competencies and the importance of the hypertext environment as a whole for solving urgent educational problems in the new educational paradigm.
