  • Simulation Modeling of Professional Scenarios for Developing Oral Communication Skills in English for Electrical Power Engineering Students

    Abstract:
    The relevance of this study stems from the need to bridge the gap between classroom foreign language activities and the real-world communicative tasks that future power engineers face when operating equipment, conducting safety briefings, participating in international projects, and discussing technical regulations. The aim of the research is to theoretically substantiate, develop, and experimentally validate a methodology for using simulation modeling of professional situations to develop oral communication skills in English among students of electric power engineering programs. The material consisted of typical professional interaction scenarios selected on the basis of an analysis of industry documents and video recordings. The main methods included pedagogical modeling, a formative experiment, questionnaires, expert assessment of oral performances according to the criteria of fluency, terminological accuracy, and pragmatic appropriateness, as well as statistical data processing using Student's t-test. The developed methodology comprised three stages: pre-communicative preparation, group simulation of emergency situations, and reflective analysis of the completed tasks. The experiment was conducted over two semesters in undergraduate groups. The results demonstrated a statistically significant increase in speech coherence, accuracy of terminology use, and the ability to produce spontaneous reasoned statements. The findings suggest that the systematic integration of simulation modeling into an ESP course contributes not only to the improvement of speaking skills but also to increased motivation and the formation of students' professional identity.

    В статье рассматривается проблема формирования критического мышления у детей младшего школьного возраста в процессе изучения английского языка. Описана экспериментальная работа с участием обучающихся четвертых классов. Представлены результаты диагностики сформированности критического мышления с использованием методики Э. Ф. Замбацявичене. Разработана и апробирована программа формирования критического мышления на основе технологии критического мышления через чтение и письмо. Проанализированы результаты, подтверждающие эффективность применяемой педагогической технологии.

  • The effectiveness of an integrative program for the formation of psychological well-being among future linguistic teachers

    Abstract:
    This article presents the results of a formative experiment evaluating the effectiveness of the "PERMA Profile for Language Teachers" program, aimed at the comprehensive development of psychological well-being in future foreign language educators. The study involved 100 fourth-year students majoring in pedagogical linguistics (Experimental Group = 50, Control Group = 50). The 36-academic-hour program was implemented in three stages and comprised modules targeting emotional intelligence, growth mindset, and positive affective experiences in language learning. Statistical analysis revealed significant positive changes in the experimental group across 14 out of 17 measured indicators, including previously identified areas for development (engagement, meaning, self-control, and sociability). The control group demonstrated no systemic improvements, with negative trends observed in several parameters.

    Цель работы – апробировать психодиагностический комплекс для оценки показателей духовно-нравственного развития личности обучающихся вуза и оценить эффективность программы духовно-нравственного развития «Школа христианского духа «Грифоны» на базе Музейно-храмового комплекса «Новый Херсонес» в г. Севастополь с использованием цифровых интерактивных платформ. Результаты диагностики показали эффективность обучающей программы и возможность применения подобранного психодиагностического инструментария для отслеживания динамики духовно-нравственного развития личности обучающихся.

    В процессе исследования опытно-экспериментальным путем доказана эффективность программы для старшеклассников «Школа экологии». Данные, полученные при сравнении результатов диагностики на констатирующем и контрольном этапах опытно-экспериментальной работы, показали положительную динамику процесса формирования экологической культуры старших школьников во внеурочной деятельности по сравнению с контрольной.

    В статье представлены результаты психолого-педагогического исследования лексики у детей с синдромом Дауна. Приводятся причины актуальности проведенного исследования, описываются экспериментальные методы и методики изучения лексики у детей с синдромом Дауна дошкольного возраста. Дети с синдромом Дауна имеют разные уровни интеллекта: от легких форм снижения интеллекта до выраженных и тяжелых. От их уровня интеллектуального развития и зависит состояние лексики, что и было изучено в результате психолого-педагогического эксперимента.
