- The subject of the research are digital technologies used in higher education abroad and in Russia. The global expansion of information and communication technologies is leading to a digital transformation of the world space. Currently, the processes of digitalization affect all areas of economic activity, including education. When organizing the educational process, modern technological platforms are used to implement the flow of knowledge through synchronous and asynchronous communication. Assessment of the level of digitalization of educational organizations should be focused on the analysis of the effectiveness of interaction between all participants in the educational process. Research and teaching staff involved in the educational process should have competencies in the field of information and communication technologies and be guides and motivators of learning, able to help navigate the huge flows of information. Therefore, important tasks for each University are: training, retraining and training of specialists in specialized competencies in the field of digitalization, monitoring the needs of the modern production market and implementing educational programs that ensure the Russian education to a qualitatively new level.
