- Abstract:
- The paper considers the educational process built with the help of practice-oriented technologies. It brought academic railway disciplines studied by higher education students closer to their future profession. Necessary conditions for purposeful formation of competitiveness of participating students as future specialists were created. Students master the profession of railway engineer not only from textbooks and drawings, but directly including in its simplest forms. The students, participants of this educational process have formed: system thinking; developed skills of teamwork in the mode of discussions to find ways to solve assigned tasks; developed the ability to think independently; increased interest in the profession of a railway engineer. These qualities, necessary for a specialist, were manifested and consolidated by the students who participated in the research work on strengthening the railroad track at 6101 km of the Trans-Siberian Railway.
