    Abstract:
    The chapter reveals the concepts of “behavioral safety” and the related concept of danger, provides classifications of dangers, and outlines the goals of teaching students about safe behavior. The authors analyze the Federal Working Program for the subject “World Around Us” and argue that the most effective approach is an integrative one, where knowledge and skills of safe behavior are not taught as a separate course, but are systematically integrated into various components of educational and upbringing activities. The main content of the study focuses on the methodological framework for developing these skills through classroom activities. In the lessons on the world around us (in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard for Primary General Education), students study topics directly related to road safety, fire safety, and safety when interacting with strangers, among other things. The authors explore the use of visual aids, game technologies, and problem-solving exercises in the lessons on the world around us in primary school.

  • Analysis of methodological approaches to teaching biology at a medical university

    Abstract:
    We studied 30 years of experience of traditional medical school, as well as some trends in reforming the methods of teaching natural sciences. The importance of teaching biology to medical students remains undeniable; currently, there are current debates about the methods of teaching theoretical disciplines, including biology. We described various approaches to teaching: a teacher-oriented approach, a student-oriented approach, problem-oriented learning, discipline-based learning, integrated learning. According to the results of the student survey, it was revealed that 93.2% consider the discipline «biology» to be necessary in a medical university, 75% are satisfied with their results in studying the discipline, 82.4% consider a conversation with a teacher to be the preferred format for studying the discipline, 51.1% of respondents prefer an oral survey as an assessment tool, 79.1% of students are satisfied with practical work with a microscope. For optimal work, it is recommended to practice each of these approaches and apply them in everyday teaching activities. An individual approach to students, combined with the use of up-to-date teaching technologies, takes the teaching of fundamental disciplines to a new level, where classical and modern teaching methods are combined.

    Abstract:
    В статье рассматриваются виды средств массовой информации, применяемых в образовательном процессе. Особое внимание уделяется так называемым новым средствам массовой информации, под которыми понимаются цифровые формы распространения информации. Авторы выделяют основные преимущества и недостатки использования новых средств массовой информации при обучении иностранному языку. Кроме того, в статье дается краткий анализ некоторых новых средств массовой информации как форм учебного материала. Авторы делают вывод о том, что, несмотря на доступность и привлекательность новых медиа как средств обучения, их эффективность является бесспорной лишь в сочетании с очным форматом обучения.
