- Research and practical examples demonstrate that game-based forms of learning are not only successfully introduced into the educational process, but can also bring noticeable results in the development of students’ communicative competencies. Game as a natural activity at this age can be the key to increasing interest in learning a foreign language and developing communication skills. Thus, the relevance of our research is determined by the need to search and test effective teaching methods that can maximize the potential of primary school students in the field of learning foreign languages. The development and implementation of game forms of learning, focused on the development of speaking skills, are becoming a response to modern educational challenges. The study contributes to the development of pedagogical science and methods of teaching foreign languages in the context of primary school education. It enriches the theoretical basis for the use of game forms of learning, highlighting their role in stimulating the development of speaking skills in primary schoolchildren.

- The relevance of the chapter is determined by the fact that foreign language teaching in a non-language university should be aimed at the formation of intercultural communicative foreign language competence, an important part of which is the ability to communicate in a professionally-oriented environment. The purpose of this study is to determine the natural learning of spoken language in a foreign language using communicative gestalt situations. The results of the study allow us to conclude that when organizing foreign language teaching by using communicative gestalt situations, it is necessary to take into account the features of modern psychological principles of the formation of bilingual consciousness of students and the national specifics of the communication culture of the people of the language being studied.

- In this chapter, we examined such a phenomenon as speaking and methods of developing speaking skills in foreign language classes. One of the effective and productive means of developing these students’ skills in the process of learning English is the immersion method. This method helps to overcome the fear of starting communication, makes the learning process more exciting, increases the motivation of students and gives rise to the desire of learning all the nuances of the language being studied. As practice shows, this method is the most effective and allows you to provide ever-increasing confidence, facilitate the transition from learning to self-learning.

- The chapter describes the peculiarities of the oral speech of non-native speaking children. The difficulties that schoolchildren experience in the process of mastering the Russian language as non-native are described. Based on the results of experimental work, typical speech and grammatical errors of schoolchildren were identified and techniques for the development of coherent speech of bilingual children were determined, taking into account the nature of the identified violations. A detailed plan of classes and a set of exercises aimed at the development of all aspects of speech are proposed.

- The authors presented an approach to teaching foreign language monolog speech to students in multi-level groups, including numerous ones. These skills acquire particular relevance within the professional teachers’ training context: later on they teach speaking skills to their ESL students. The approach is based on video lectures hosted by TED, which are used as reference texts for students to build their own monologs. The authors outlined the principles and presented the algorithm of work. The important components are listening to the lecture (exposure to example) and redoing the speaking.

- The article presents an analysis of the sociolinguistic situation in the Kola North with the Kildin Saami language. Purpose of work – to consider the historical reasons for the situation of the indigenous language of the North, as well as the current situation with educational programs in the Kildin Saami language. The following method was used in the study: descriptive method. The result of the analysis is that in the study indicates the directions of activity of state structures and Saami activists to improve the functioning of the language, shows that in the conditions of the Russian-speaking environment, the chance for the survival of a minority language has a distance education, recommendations to the activities for conservation and revitalization Kildin Saami language. The study showed that the most suitable teaching technology for the dispersed population is the organization of training on the basis of specially prepared distance learning courses integrated into a single system on the training portal, which not only organizes training in the form of transferring teaching and methodological material to the learner for assimilation, but also monitors and evaluates the knowledge gained in asynchronous mode, analysis of the quality of the passage of educational material.

- The article considers the problem of additional vocational training in the system of higher education of the Russian Federation. The author gives main characteristics of a modern refresher course or a course of vocational training, based on the experience of attending courses of additional vocational training by the teachers of the Department of foreign languages of the Irkutsk State Medical University (ISMU). In the end, there is an example of an innovative course of vocational training worked out by the specialists of the mentioned department that can answer the challenges of the modern system of higher education.
