    Abstract:
    The article is dedicated to certain events in the military history of the Ulyanovsk region, showing the contribution of the region's residents to the victory over Nazi Germany. It presents an example of heroism and patriotism of Ulyanovsk residents – our fellow countrymen. The authors outline the important role of the Volga region, specifically the Ulyanovsk region in achieving victory due to its specific historical situation, geographical and strategic location. Ulyanovsk is the city where many enterprises evacuated from other cities of the country were situated: Moscow, Vitebsk, etc. The article describes the labour heroism that created the conditions for turning our region into a powerful military centre. The work allows to expand and consolidate knowledge about the history of the Ulyanovsk region in the young generation, to form a sense of civic consciousness.

Статья подчеркивает потенциал VR как средства обогащения образовательного процесса, способствующего развитию эмпатии и критического мышления. В заключение делается вывод о значении VR в современном историческом образовании и ее роли в формировании более осознанного отношения к прошлому.

    The most relevant and useful for today's Russia and its historical heritage is, first of all, the tradition of the organic unity of our peoples, which was developed and postponed in the course of our history as a result of everyday exercises in justice, mutual respect and harmony. Despite the fact that every Russian people has its own traditions, customs, languages, and heroic past – together they make up a common heritage. To revive it, to always remember it – and not lose sight of it – is the urgent task of time. We must believe that the troubled times, poverty and disenfranchisement of ordinary people-workers, disrespect for the moral and legal norms of human society are a temporary phenomenon.
