- Abstract:
- This chapter presents the systems aspects of ecosystem psychology. A general overview of systems theory is provided in order to identify issues that are relevant to the present discussion. The author shows that although social constructivist views are relevant, hermeneutic considerations are much more important in ecosystem psychology. The chapter discusses the systems aspects of ecosystem psychology, drawing on the ideas of Durheim, Parsons, Berger, Parsons, Luckmann, Schutz, Heidegger.
