    Abstract:
    The article presents the formation and development of labour workshops in Rus-sia for young people with mental retardation and complex disorders. Workshops in most cases are the only opportunity to be employed in the professional sphere. The paper also describes the importance of labour workshops in the development of young people with mental retardation and complex disabilities on the example of the experience of some practices.
