  • Blended Learning as a Modern Educational Strategy: Advantages and Challenges

    Abstract:
    This article provides an in-depth examination of blended learning as a multifaceted educational strategy that integrates online technologies with traditional face-to-face instruction. Positioned within the broader context of the digital transformation of education, the study analyses the conceptual foundations of blended learning and its relevance for contemporary teaching practices in both secondary and higher education. Particular attention is given to the pedagogical mechanisms through which blended learning enhances learner autonomy, supports the development of digital competence, and enables the design of differentiated and personalized learning pathways. The review further explores the motivational, cognitive, and social aspects of blended learning environments, highlighting their potential to promote active participation, reflective engagement, and improved learning outcomes. At the same time, the article addresses the persistent challenges that institutions and educators face during the implementation process, including insufficient teacher preparedness, unequal access to technological infrastructure, variability in students’ digital readiness, and the absence of coherent institutional strategies for integrating digital tools into curricula. The analysis demonstrates that, while blended learning offers substantial educational benefits, its success is contingent upon deliberate instructional design, sustained professional development for teachers, and the systematic evaluation of both online and face-to-face components. The paper concludes by proposing recommendations for optimizing blended learning models to ensure pedagogical effectiveness, technological sustainability, and long-term institutional impact.

    Abstract:
    В статье рассматривается влияние цифровых технологий на традиционное обучение, акцентируя внимание на онлайн-платформах, мобильных приложениях и виртуальных классах. Анализируются преимущества, которые эти технологии предоставляют студентам и преподавателям, такие как доступность, гибкость и интерактивность образовательного процесса. Также обсуждаются проблемы и вызовы, с которыми сталкиваются участники образовательного процесса, включая цифровое неравенство и отсутствие мотивации у студентов. В заключение подчеркивается, что интеграция цифровых технологий в образование открывает новые горизонты для обучения, но требует комплексного подхода к решению возникающих трудностей.

    Abstract:
    The article is devoted to the analysis of the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in chemistry lessons at school. The theoretical foundations, forms and methods of ICT implementation are considered: virtual laboratories, interactive tables, multimedia presentations, electronic textbooks and online platforms. Special attention is paid to the impact of ICT on the educational process: increasing student motivation, deepening understanding of complex topics, developing independent work and solving emerging problems. Practical recommendations on the choice of tools, teacher training and support from the school administration are provided.
