the chapter describes the problems of teaching propaedeutics of childhood diseases, which were discussed at the third All-Russian conference «Knowledge of propaedeutics is the basis of clinical thinking of a pediatrician." The characteristics of modern textbooks on this discipline, published in Russia in the last 15 years, are given, their advantages and disadvantages are described.
