The scientific article covers the features of the emotional sphere, in particular, emotional responsiveness, in private school students with delayed psychic development; it provides a description, results, and analysis of the selected diagnostic methods used to determine the initial level of emotional responsiveness in a specific group of children; and it proposes and substantiates one of the approaches to developing this process as a key aspect of correction and development through the use of visual arts.

The article covers the features of emotional responsiveness in primary school students with delayed psychic development. The study consisted of three stages: ascertaining, forming and control. The article substantiates and proposes a direction for correctional and developmental work using visual arts as an effective means of developing emotional responsiveness and integrating cognitive and emotional experiences in children with delayed psychic development.
