The article reveals the role of collectivist qualities necessary for the favorable integration of adolescent orphanage pupils into the school's student body. The article considers the features and difficulties of the formation of collectivist qualities among the children of the orphanage caused by the living conditions in a residential institution. The strengths of the formation of collectivist qualities in children from orphanages are highlighted, which should be taken into account when using active methods of educational work in the student body.
