Discussion as a means of developing speaking skills in linguistic students: theory, methodology, and experiment

the research examines the development of English speaking skills in junior linguistic students. Based on an analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature, the potential of the discussion as a means of developing foreign language communicative competence is substantiated. The author's methodological system is presented, including three types of discussion sessions, a three-level language support system, and reflective practice. The results of experimental work are described, confirming the statistically significant effectiveness of the proposed method.
