  • The Book Chamber of the Chuvash Republic as the Custodian of the Writing and Ethnic Culture

    Abstract:
    The article reveals the history of the creation and main functions of the Book Chamber of the Chuvash Republic (in 2000–2012 – the State Press Archive), which in 2013 became part of the National Library of the Chuvash Republic. The purpose of the article is to reveal the significance of the Book Chamber of the Chuvash Republic as the main center for collecting and storing printed materials about Chuvashia and the Chuvash people, regardless of the place of publication. On the basis of the chronological method, the role of printed materials in the Chuvash language in the preservation of the ethnic culture of the titular people has been studied. It was revealed that the Book Chambers as institutions with a special legal regime existed in 5 points of the Russian Federation: in Moscow, in the republics of Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Chuvashia and Karelia. Their funds were used in scientific and publishing developments, preparation of materials for publication and for reprints. At present, the main activities of the Department of the Book Chamber are the acquisition, accounting and preservation of the fund of printed documents; state registration of printed documents in the Chuvash Republic, preparation of state bibliographic and statistical information; information and bibliographic services for users; methodological support of editorial and publishing activities of the mass media, publishing and printing enterprises of the republic; creation of a bibliographic database of articles «Chuvashik»; preparation and publication of the state bibliographic index «Chronicle of the press of the Chuvash Republic».

    Abstract:
    Currently the business risk assessment monitoring becomes increasingly relevant for enterprises. The aim of the article is to determine to quantitative risk value of aggregate risk of enterprises located in two zones: one part in positive while the other in quite significant negative. The article resulted in development of the approaches enabling the firms to reduce aggregate risk in order to remove it from negative zone. This result is achieved with the help of application theoretical help of theoretical method.

    Abstract: The article describes the microclonal reproduction of a rare and protected plant species in the Russian Federation - sweet-scented leucoea (Matthiola fragrans Bunge). It is emphasized that it is valuable to obtain in vitro plants that are genetically identical to the maternal individual. The article highlights the peculiarities of microclonal reproduction of sweet-scented leucoea from seed and shoot explants.

  • World War I Through the Eyes of a Cavalryman: an Overview of the Diary Entries

    Abstract:
    The work is devoted to the analysis of the field diaries of the participant of the First World War V.D. Efremov (1890–1978), a native of the Chuvash village of Ilyutkino, Staro-Maksimkinskaya volost, Chistopol district, Kazan province. The purpose of the research is to study the document in the context of historical events and introduce them into scientific use. The work is based on the author's field materials. The document is analyzed from a historical perspective. At the same time, in this work, the author turns to ethnographic and literary approaches. V.D. Efremov (1890–1978) – cavalryman of the 5th squadron of the 14th Dragoon Little Russian regiment. His diary entries were made in Russian in 1915 on the territory of Belarus. The value of this document lies in the fact that it represents the records made during the hostilities themselves. There is not so much evidence of this kind in Russian historiography. The records allow us to trace the movement of a soldier for more than six months and his perception of military events. Interesting in the diary is a poetic text in the Chuvash language, the author of which is K.D. Efremov, brother of a soldier. The song is filled with philosophical content and was written in the folklore traditions of the Chuvash people.

    В Омской области известно 17 видов рода Astragalus L. Для 8 видов рода Astragalus, занесенных в Красную книгу Омской области, проведена оценка состояния ценопопуляций. Выявлено 102 популяции растений, численность особей в которых изменяется от 3–5 экземпляров до 5–20% проективного покрытия. Наибольшее число местообитаний известно у Astragalus buchtormensis и A. kustanaicus. Остаётся неясным в регионе статус A. altaicus и A. glycyphyllos.

    The article discovers the phenomenon of euphemia through pragmalinguistic knowledge. The research focuses on the pragmatic grounds of euphemisms, which are the most important components in the encoding implicit information. The authors also provide an analysis of those pragmatic grounds that were actualized in the diplomatic speeches by Gerhard Schröder.

    The authors of the article emphasizes that the development of agro-industrial complex in our country is not only due to the formation of agricultural holdings, but also through the development of small business patterns. Taking into consideration the fact that large retail chains prefer to work with companies that can supply a high volume of goods at once, they are not interested in farmers who supply low volume of output. It is noted that the seasonal nature of agricultural output also increases the risk of product damage during storage. This risk is especially increased if the storage conditions are not met. It is found out that small-scale peasant business patterns are not able to maintain storage facilities that will meet different storage conditions for different types of products. Accordingly, for them, the problem of the risk of damage and loss of grown products due to non-compliance with storage conditions is more acute. The situation under consideration determines the relevance of the stated topic. The purpose of the study is to clarify the main goals and objectives of the formation of a modern storage system for agricultural products as the main factor in reducing the risk of its damage and loss. The study was conducted in several stages: the institutional framework for the formation of storage systems for agricultural products was studied; the institutional structure of the Central Federal district to create a modern system for storing agricultural raw materials and goods was systematized; target installations for placement of agricultural products storage enterprises in the context of the Central Federal district regions have been defined.
