- Abstract:
- The article presents the experience of teaching chemistry to foreign students of a medical university. To facilitate the understanding of educational material in chemistry by foreign students, the didactic potential of university lectures has been expanded. Every year, Russian universities accept citizens from more than 170 countries to study. The annual growth in the number of foreign students corresponds to the national course for further integration into the educational and scientific community of the allied states. The relevance of the study is determined by the need of Russian universities to develop educational and methodological materials in a foreign language for training programs for foreign students. The aim of this study is to facilitate the understanding of lecture material, and, as a result, to increase the effectiveness of teaching chemistry to foreign students of a medical university through the use of an English-language course of lectures in the learning process. Within this work, using the method of students questionnaire survey, a pedagogical study of the attitude of foreign students to the use of a course of chemistry lectures in English was carried out. The study involved 80 foreign students of Altai State Medical University, citizens of far abroad countries. It was found that the described course of lectures minimizes the difficulties of foreign students' perception of large amounts of educational material (97.5% of respondents), increases the efficiency of independent work (92.5%), helps to overcome the language barrier when teaching in an intermediary language (67.5%), as a result, there is a general interest of foreign students in chemistry as a science (95%), facilitating of educational material understanding and an increase in academic performance (96.2% of those who successfully passed the exam in chemistry compared to 60% of students in the control group). Thus, we came to the conclusion that the use of a developed English-language course of lectures in the teaching chemistry makes it easier for students to perceive the lecture material and improve the quality of chemistry education for foreign students.

- Инновационные технологии как ресурс повышения качества образования
- Abstract:
- The article is devoted to the upbringing potential of integrated chemistry and English lessons in the process of teaching gifted students. The relevance of the article is determined by the fact that a modern lesson should be an integrated lesson, since for deep interpenetration, merging of disparate knowledge in different subjects, intersubject connections are used during integration, which contribute to the formation of upbringing potential. The article is addressed to teachers of chemistry and English, students of pedagogical directions and specialists in this field.

Formation of Professional Adaptation of Students, Future Teachers of Chemistry
Book ChapterIssues of pedagogy and psychology- Author:
- Svetlana S. Kosmodemianskaia
- Work direction:
- Chapter 4
- Abstract:
- The paper examines the conclusions on the use of variable methods and methodological techniques for the formation of professional adaptation of future chemistry teachers studying at one of the leading universities in the country, in the modern scientific and pedagogical worldview and in conjunction with the psychological, pedagogical and methodological aspects of the prospects for competence education. An attempt is proposed to outline the features of solving the problem of gradual immersion of students in professional activities, starting from the first days of study at a university, in the context of the conditions for the implementation of federal state educational standards of a new generation. The value of the use of various aspects of pedagogical technologies for students of higher education in the paradigm of the formation of professional competencies of the personality of a young specialist has been substantiated and determined. An assumption is formulated according to which the formation of professional adaptation of students, future teachers of chemistry, has characteristic features, taking into account the duality of their activities, since the educational situation at the level of didactic technologies is characterized by the presence of interactivity and integrability.

Distance Learning during a Pandemic: Invaluable Experience or Missed Opportunities
Book ChapterPsychological and Pedagogical Issues of Modern Education- Author:
- Tat'iana M. Trifonova

- Chapter 9
- Abstract:
- The paper discusses the results of distance learning for students of the Pacific National University Pedagogical Institute, Department of Biology, Ecology, Chemistry. The positive and negative sides of the «distance» are revealed. Specific examples show that distance learning in the preparation of future teachers of chemistry and biology can be just one of the issues of the disciplines «Theory and methodology of teaching biology» and «Theory and methodology of teaching chemistry» as an innovative technology of teaching methods. Distance learning should not completely replace the traditional one.

The practice-analytical approach in the process of study of organic chemistry
Research ArticleDevelopment of education No 1 (1)- Authors:
- Elena V. Khromtsova, Larisa I. Chekmareva
- Work direction:
- Theoretical and applied research in education
- Abstract:
- The article presents the experience of using the practice-analytical approach in the process of study of organic chemistry at the University. The conceptual base for the restructuring of the course was the extended interpretation of A. M. Butlerov's postulates. The practical-analytical approach consists in changing the order of studying organic compounds: from properties – to structure, in contrast to the traditional approach: from structure – to properties. The purpose of the restructuring of the course is the formation of the necessary competencies for a limited number of hours in the discipline and in the presence of a huge volume of information. The role of organic compounds in the world around us is emphasized.
