    Abstract:
    This paper provides a retrospective analysis of physical education, health improvement, and sports activities in a rural secondary school over a period of thirty-six years. It demonstrates the continuity of one of the main activities in the school from one physical education teacher to another, without compromising the quality of physical education for students and maintaining a high level of academic, extracurricular, and after-school activities. It has been shown that in rural areas with underdeveloped infrastructure and long distances from the city, physical education and health activities at a secondary school are a factor that not only contributes to the preservation, improvement of health, and socialization of the younger generation, but also to the development of the village. This chapter provides a description of the practice of introducing physical education and health activities in the rural Novo-Dmitrievskaya Secondary School in the Radishchevsky District of the Ulyanovsk Region, covering the period from 1963 to 2009, and the impact of physical education and health activities on the socialization of students, their physical fitness, and their athletic performance.

    Abstract:
    Social design is considered as the basis for professional growth of a social work graduate. In this article, the importance of project activities in the current standard as a universal competence of a social work specialist is demonstrated. Based on the specifics of social work, a project is defined as an author’s version of solving a social issue. The topics of students’ projects based on the results of social diagnostics in an evolving society are presented. The features of social modeling in social design are considered. On the example of the Moscow region, the possibilities of forming an innovative education strategy in which design acts as a tool for social development are shown.
