    В статье автором рассматривается влияние идей и деятельности известного российского эмигранта С.И. Гессена как на современников по обе стороны границы, так и на потомков, для которых он стал «открыт» только в период 90-х гг. ХХ века. В тексте акцентируется внимание на аксиологическом подходе Гессена к образованию, что является довольно актуальной темой сегодняшнего дня.
