    Abstract:
    The article analyzes some psychological characteristics of students that are associated with the success of mastering a foreign language. The article presents the results of a study of the relationship between academic performance in a foreign language and cognitive functions (memory), motivation, and communicative abilities of students in grades 5–7. Introduction. The article examines the external and internal factors that are associated with the success of mastering a foreign language. Summarizing various approaches, the authors identified cognitive, motivational and communicative features of students that affect the success of mastering a foreign language, one of the indicators of which is the level of academic performance. Materials and methods of research. To study the relationship between academic performance in a foreign language and individual characteristics of students: memory, motivation, communicative abilities, the article presents the results of the study. To study the psychological characteristics of students in grades 5–7, the authors used the following psychodiagnostic techniques: «Memorization of 10 words» (A.R. Luria), «Methods for studying the motivation of the teaching of adolescents» (M.I. Lukyanova, N.V. Kalinina), «Communicative and organizational inclinations (KOS)" (V.V. Sinyavsky, V.A. Fedoroshin). Results and their discussion. The results of the study showed the relationship of academic performance in a foreign language with the level of auditory memory, with internal motivation to learn a foreign language and with the communicative abilities of students. Conclusions. The article concludes that it is necessary for teachers to use game technologies in foreign language lessons for the formation of auditory memory, active teaching methods, elements of psychological and communicative trainings, IT technologies for the development of internal motivation to learn a foreign language and communicative inclinations and abilities of students.

    Abstract:
    The authors of the article considered officer families, defined the role and importance of the family for the officer, highlighted the socio-psychological characteristics of the family of a serviceman, taking into account the influence of the specifics of military service on it. The authors gave an answer to the question how to create a prosperous and happy family for officers, taking into account four types of compatibility, presented the results of a survey conducted among female servicemen studying at the Military Academy of Communications, who answered the question: "What factors of well-being of an officer's family in the modern world do you consider the main ones?", gave recommendations for the preservation of prosperous relationships in young officer families.

    Abstract:
    The monograph deals with issues relating to research on the socio-psychological characteristics and life prospects of the educator’s personality - concepts, history of development, methods and techniques. In order to fulfill functions and achieve good results in professional activities, an educator, possessing a set of socio-psychological features and important qualities in terms of professional, should plan his activities. The educator needs to build a future perspective and fruitfully realize his life path. According to the results of the research conducted within the framework of social psychology, the conclusion was made: the life perspective of educators is subjective and determined by the characteristics of their socio-psychological characteristics, their psychological well-being, level of resilience, specific content characteristics of the awareness of their inner world «I», of their past, present, and future. The theoretical significance of the work lies in the fact that the study presents a theoretical justification for the definition of the concepts of socio-psychological characteristics, life and time perspectives of the educator’s personality. Some features of these concepts are revealed. Practical significance is to be identified within the framework of those aspects of the problem being studied, which the authors will solve in perspective.     The development of the speech abilities of students in grade 9, the adolescent age of which dictates the desire for self-knowledge, self-determination, the desire for emotional independence and achievement of status in society, while working on the exposition is realized in the process of perception, reproduction and generation of an artistic text. For this, independent forms of work are needed at the lesson, assignments of increased difficulty, employment of literary creativity.
