    The contents of school biology are discussed in the article. The parts of school biology, mostly actual for the school graduates entering in the adult life are distinguished. That, according to the author`s opinion, are the questions of preservation of health, rejection from harmful habits, the protection of environment, the problems of regional ecology and also the methods of the development of the information literacy of pupils during studying school course of biology.

    Abstract:
    The author analyzes and compares the results of the questioning of Moscow student historians in 1999 and 2017 about the problems of the North Caucasus region. The study included three groups of questions: geographic-ethnographic, personal-emotional and historical. The researcher notes an evolution of views at several problems, generally with positive dynamic.
