    Abstract:
    This article examines the emergence of the Cossacks in Rus' as the result of a long socio-historical synthesis on the southern periphery of Russian lands in the 13th–16th centuries. An analysis of written sources, archaeological data, and historiography allows us to identify key factors in the genesis of the Cossacks: the depopulation of the southern "outskirts" after the Mongol invasion, the constant threat of nomadic raids, the migration of socially mobile groups, and the preservation of ancient Russian military traditions. Particular attention is given to an early 20th-century discussion between Cossack regional specialist E. P. Savelyev and professional historian P. P. Sakharov, reflecting the methodological conflict between patriotic interpretation and academic skepticism.     The author draws attention to the controversial issues in the study of the phenomenon of patriotism, since the topic has been studied by many scientists: political scientists, psychologists, philosophers and representatives of other sciences, which indicates its complex and interdisciplinary nature. It is necessary to responsibly approach the solution of this problem in terms of obtaining new knowledge and at the same time substantiating the idea of ​​​​patriotism as a value and national ideal. Polar opposites are the interpretations of patriotism as a loyal attitude to the state, adoration of the monarch, on the one hand, and love for a person, family and small homeland, on the other hand.     The agro-industrial complex is one of the key sectors of the economy, which has significant potential for saturating the domestic market and ensuring food security. In recent years, the republic's agro-industrial complex has demonstrated positive dynamics. For such types of products as bread, potatoes, vegetables and melons, domestic production has almost completely satisfied the population's consumption. However, there remains a dependence on imported poultry meat, vegetable oil, sugar, fruits and berries. Among the main problems that need to be addressed in the republic's agro-industrial complex are dependence on imported plant seeds and breeding material, infrastructure development, increasing the effectiveness of scientific research, timely identification and prevention of internal and external risks based on the use of a system of effective organizational and economic measures.

    The article is dedicated to certain events in the military history of the Ulyanovsk region, showing the contribution of the region's residents to the victory over Nazi Germany. It presents an example of heroism and patriotism of Ulyanovsk residents – our fellow countrymen. The authors outline the important role of the Volga region, specifically the Ulyanovsk region in achieving victory due to its specific historical situation, geographical and strategic location. Ulyanovsk is the city where many enterprises evacuated from other cities of the country were situated: Moscow, Vitebsk, etc. The article describes the labour heroism that created the conditions for turning our region into a powerful military centre. The work allows to expand and consolidate knowledge about the history of the Ulyanovsk region in the young generation, to form a sense of civic consciousness.

    This article explores the transformation of China's media landscape, highlighting the shift from traditional news outlets to the emergence of new media platforms. Historically, news dissemination in China was dominated by state-controlled media organizations, limiting public participation and freedom of expression. However, with the advent of the internet, social media, and online news portals, the Chinese population now has unprecedented access to information and the ability to engage in public discourse. The rapid growth of social media platforms and the rise of online news portals have challenged the traditional notion of news reporting and provided more diverse perspectives. Nonetheless, the government's censorship efforts and control of content raise concerns about freedom of expression. This article concludes by discussing the challenges and opportunities presented by the evolution of media in China.

    Abstract:
    The chapter provides an analysis of theoretical, methodological and practice-oriented studies of the problem field, actualizing the need to preserve cultural and historical memory and the formation of civic identity of young people in the territory of the Russian Federation and the newly annexed territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions. The authors consider the axeological and regulatory foundations of civic and patriotic education in the modern socio-cultural space, identify the semantic field of the categories «cultural and historical memory» and «civic identity», present various mechanisms and factors influencing the formation of cultural and historical memory and civic identity. The material presents the cultural landscape of the newly annexed territories from a geographical point of view. Based on the analysis of the research, the authors identify educational technologies relevant for the purposes of civic and patriotic education, the main diagnostic tools for conducting pedagogical measurements of cultural and historical memory and civic identity of youth, and also provide an overview of educational practices of teachers on this issue.

    Abstract:
    In this scientific work, the problems faced by the implementation of cadastral projects in Russian conditions are carefully considered and solved. Focusing on the lack of information in the Unified Federal Information System of Real Estate (GKN), the discrepancy between the boundaries of land plots and the widespread impact of cadastral errors on real estate management, the study used a comprehensive methodology based on both qualitative and quantitative analysis. Based on the provisions of Federal Law No. 221-FZ and related legislation, innovative solutions are proposed in the study. The main problem is the lack of comprehensive information in the GKN, which necessitates the creation of a modern cartographic framework using modern geodetic technologies. It is proposed to amend the legislation giving cadastral registration authorities the right to adjust the boundaries of land plots within the established limits.

    Faithful military fortification, founded in the middle of the XIX century in the south-eastern outskirts of the Russian Empire, was located far from the center of the state with a turbulent political and social life. At the same time in the middle of the XIX century, there is interest in the history of Russia, memoirs, internal politics and social sciences in general, that leading to the emergence of an unprecedented hitherto the number of periodicals historical themes. This article explores references to the city / Verny Fortification in the "Historical Gazette", "Notes of the Fatherland", "Russian Archive", "Niva", "Russian Gazette", "Russian Antiquity", "Russian Thought" and a number of other publications. Identified during the study, articles and notes on the city of Verny allow us to get an idea of what exactly the city remembers to travelers, what specific information about it was reflected in historical journals published between 1854 and 1917 in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
