A detailed algorithm for organizing and conducting a case study on the topic of Sales Forecasting is proposed, accompanied by information on material support and risk management. This chapter is intended for teachers of economic disciplines who are interested in implementing interactive teaching methods, and it may be useful in developing practice-oriented courses in financial disciplines.

  • Metacognitive scaffolding in teaching English for law students

    Abstract:
    Metacognitive support in foreign language classes for law students is considered as a potentially effective pedagogical technology that fosters students’ ability to self-manage their learning process. The aim of this study was to assess the impact of introducing metacognitive elements into English lessons for law students through a comparative analysis of students’ level of metacognitive awareness before and after the experimental period. The article presents the results of an empirical study involving 30 students, equally divided into two groups (control and experimental). Students’ metacognitive awareness was measured twice: at the beginning and the end of the experiment by an author-developed questionnaire consisting of 15 questions in three blocks. Statistical processing of the results was performed in Excel. For 14 weeks, students in the experimental group completed tasks aimed at developing planning, monitoring, and self-evaluation skills. The results of the experiment showed an increase in the level of metacognitive awareness of students in the experimental group by an average of 21,5%. The practical significance and novelty of the study is in the validation of metacognitive educational technologies in the class of Legal English. The practical tasks can be used to design educational programmes and teaching materials aimed at developing students’ skills in independent information work, critical thinking, and self-regulation.

    In the chapter examines the features of using a program-oriented approach in project management in different countries, at different stages of socio-economic development. Based on the realities of each individual time lag, the priorities of algorithms for the vector distribution of efforts on the path of final goal setting are justified. Both theoretical and empirical developments of the «rigid system» of managing national economies are used, based on the expected dynamics of economic growth. The increment of the methodological scientific layer of this problem occurs within the framework of an absentee discussion with a number of Russian and international experts on the problem under discussion. Within the framework of matrix models, the strengths and weaknesses of the program-oriented approach, threats and opportunities in the course of its use in the economy of territorial entities are positioned. For the purity of the experiment, multifactorial analysis, systematic, complex, process and situational approaches are used. Practice conclusions and recommendations are given.

    In the chapter considers the basic model of substantiation of management decisions – «volume-costs-profit», its analytical capabilities for enterprise management. This model helps to predict the values of costs, sales (production) volume and profit. The target focus of the study is to use the tools and functionality of the «volume-costs-profit» model to implement break-even activities of the enterprise. The purpose of the break-even theory is shown, the analytical capabilities of the basic model are systematized, four approaches to its content are identified, the filling of the key elements of its subject area is disclosed: marginal income, coverage rate, break-even point (break-even point), financial safety margin and operating leverage. Using the example of an agricultural organization, break-even modeling of business activities is carried out, directions for increasing the profitability of the enterprise are substantiated. To expand the functionality of the «volume-costs-profit» model, the use of sensitivity analysis, a matrix of financial results planning and break-even management, as well as a scenario approach for choosing alternative options for making a profit when making management decisions is proposed. Difficulties in conducting analysis and forecasting the break-even activity of an enterprise are identified, which are associated with the lack of legal regulation of cost accounting using the direct costing system, the methodology for calculating marginal income and the formation of a management accounting system.

    Abstract:
    The relevance of the study lies in understanding the development of cognitive and regulatory functions in primary school-age children, which is crucial for their adaptation to the modern socio-cultural context. Rapid changes in technology and education require the development of volitional processes such as attention, memory, planning, and self-organization, key for academic and social adaptation. The study was conducted with a sample of 60 children (ages 8-9) from the Municipal Autonomous Educational Institution Secondary School No. 31 in Ishim. Diagnostic techniques assessed various aspects of volitional functions: goal-setting, forecasting, planning, correction, flexibility, adaptability, and reflection. Methods used included "Template," "Running Goose," "Simple Instructions Test," "Circles," and others, with data analysis performed using the φ* criterion – Fisher’s angular transformation. Most children’s voluntary cognitive and regulatory functions are in an active process of formation, with their components developing unevenly. Prediction, adaptability, and mnemonic abilities develop faster and more efficiently than goal setting, planning, correction, flexibility of actions, reflection, and attentional abilities. The study confirms the need for psychological and pedagogical support to enhance volitional functions in younger schoolchildren, aiding their successful academic and social adaptation.

    Professional development of teachers is an important component of education quality. The paper presents the results of a study on the impact of a teacher training program on classroom teaching practices. A comparison is made of teachers' teaching practices in the areas of planning, implementation, and evaluation before and after participation in the program. The study found that the professional development program has a statistically significant and positive impact on planning, implementation, and evaluation practices. These results serve as evidence of the importance of teacher training in terms of changes in classroom teaching practices.

    In today's dynamic economic environment, strategic development is becoming one of the key factors for success of an organization. However, in order to correctly substantiate and effectively implement a strategy, it is necessary to have reliable methodological approaches and provisions. The oil and gas industry is one of the areas where economic globalization, which is a key feature of global economic development, is most fully manifested. Geological, production, economic factors of the functioning of vertically integrated oil companies in their integrated meaning predetermine their presence on relevant markets. This provokes, when determining the development strategy of such companies, to take into account the features and development trends of these markets.     This study examines the complex world of cadastral considerations in the planning of tourist infrastructure with an emphasis on tourist and ecological trails (TET). On the basis of an integrated approach, the key indicators of the TPP are identified and the technical aspects of engineering structures at the TPP are considered. Based on Federal Law No. 221-FZ, the study examines in detail cadastral activities on extensive TET, with special attention paid to problems related to the diversity of land plots. The main conclusions emphasize the key role of cadastral works, contributing to informed decision-making in the field of sustainable tourism development.

    Strategic management of spatial development of the agricultural sphere is organized as a single integrated system in which its constituent elements are aimed at contributing to the overall result. In the new economic conditions, the decisions announced in the «Strategy for the Development of agro-industrial and fisheries complexes of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030» dated April 12, 2020 №. 993-р, in the State programs «Integrated development of rural territories», «Effective involvement in the turnover of agricultural land and the development of the reclamation complex of the Russian Federation», «The state programs for the development of agriculture», «The Development of the fisheries complex», «The Federal Scientific and Technical Program for the Development of Agriculture for 2017–2030», etc. should systematically identify development opportunities on the one hand, and influence the entrepreneurial initiative on the other hand, and, therefore, require systematic monitoring and elimination of parallelism in management decisions. Under the sanctions imposed by Western countries against Russia, agriculture remains the leading industry in the country's economic system. In the new economic conditions, the management of spatial development of agriculture is in urgent need of scientifically based planning and forecasting of economic resources, including managerial personnel. The development and substantiation of an up-to-date resource forecasting methodology corresponding to modern conditions of agricultural development is the most important task of managing the spatial development of the industry. In addition, the key role of the digital economy and digitalization in the management of the agar sector in modern conditions serve as a tool for the transition of the industry to a new technological level, since, on the one hand, they were previously unused sources of achieving economic growth of agricultural industries, efficiency and efficiency of management processes, and, on the other, they become a powerful incentive innovative spatial development of rural areas of the country, especially geostrategically important macro-regions. The study presents an analysis of a significant amount of factual data, on the basis of which meaningful conclusions are made: it is established that strategic scenario planning and forecasting of spatial development processes of individual branches of agriculture belong to the methods of public administration and are necessary economic tools during the crisis; the current methodology of forecasting human resources in the field of management is substantiated, which corresponds to the modern conditions of development of individual macro-regions, and is also the most important state task in the strategic management of agriculture; an economic model is constructed that allows assessing the need for managerial personnel in the medium term, taking into account the influence of external economic factors; the use of digital technologies in agricultural organizations, costs are analyzed on scientific research in the field of science «agriculture», the level of innovation activity, the costs of organizations for innovation activities, as well as the volume of innovative products on the example of individual subjects of the Federation.
