- Abstract:
- The article describes a methodology for solving applied and creative tasks in the course of studying graphic disciplines in order to activate independent work. A general plan for solving applied and creative tasks is presented. A concrete example of solving the same graphical problem in classical and applied formulations is considered. It is revealed that the creative formulation of a graphic problem increases the motivation for studying descriptive geometry, and, consequently, activates the process of independent work of students.

- A higher educational institution, being an important institution for the development of society, ensures the full implementation of targeted psychological and pedagogical influence on students in matters of the formation of a system of values, knowledge, skills, and targeted development of individual personality traits. Modern approaches of researchers note the importance of determining the readiness to perform maternal functions in the younger generation and carrying out a set of activities that enrich students with knowledge about motherhood and child rearing. The purpose of the work is to determine the pedagogical aspects of the organization of work on the formation of readiness to perform maternal functions among girls in higher education institutions. The study emphasizes the importance of carrying out work in this direction, notes the leading role of psychological disciplines, namely the organization of classroom work, consisting of lectures and practical classes, extracurricular activities and independent work of students. A special role in the work with students on the formation of the maternal principle is given to the use of the educational potential of social partners (representatives of the healthcare system and museums).

- The article presents an overview of methodological approaches to the formation of self-control among students of grades 5-6 in the study of mathematics. The analysis of the state of this issue showed that in the works of A.A. Krylov, S.D. Yakushev and G.K. Selevko, etc., the importance of self-control within the framework of organizing independent work in the classroom and in the works of A.G. Mordkovich, Yu.M. Kolyagin, etc. in general, when studying mathematics on the example of a numerical line is indicated. It is proved that one of the means of forming self-control among students of grades 5-6 are assessment sheets, which include the objectives of studying the subject content, a route sheet for the lesson with the stages of academic work, a system of reflexive assessments.

Development of Educational and Research Independence From the Perspective of Medical University Students

- Introduction: As a full-fledged Bologna process participant, Kazakhstan is continuously implementing reforms aimed at medical education, impacting country's human capital. The professional capable of a lifelong learning is the main goal of modern education. The central role in reaching this goal is entrusted to the higher education. The relevance of our study lies within the curriculum changes with more hours for students’ independent work, which is the main method of obtaining reliable information and acquiring competence for lifelong learning. The aim of our study was to evaluate the students’ opinion on the self-study system at the Karaganda Medical University, revealing existing difficulties in the students’ acceptance of the Bologna process requirements, identifying methods to increase their involvement in self-education and scientific research. Materials and Methods: an anonymous survey was conducted among the 426 of the 3rd – 7th year and residency students, including 20 questions to identify students’ attitude to the individual work methodology as a factor for the development of skills for lifelong learning. Results and Discussion: the majority of students are voluntarily involved in the independent learning, understand its purpose, and use English-language sources with reliable up-to-date information. Less than half of the students evaluate their skills of information search and presentation as «average» and only about a quarter of them as «high». More than half of the students demonstrate interest in increasing their level of competence with these skills. Conclusions: Our study demonstrated that since the Republic of Kazakhstan accession to the BP the «Karaganda Medical University» successfully integrates new educational requirements into the educational process. Higher education system needs further improvement to better understand the students, remove barriers to progress and preserve students’ motivation to further develop personal potential.

Schematization in Teaching Philosophy to Students With Non-Philosophy Majors

- The problem of using schemes and schematization for teaching philosophy is discussed in the article. The purpose of the article is to analyze methodical aspects of schematization when teaching philosophy to students with non-philosophy majors. Methods of research. During the study, the analysis of study guides containing schemes and tables was carried out. Some problems of schematization, its strengths and weaknesses are defined. Work with schemes at classes and independent work is considered. Special attention was paid to methodical recommendations on schematization. Based on the results of the study, conclusions were made about difficulty of using schemes when teaching philosophy. It is outlined that schematization can simplify a philosophical problem so far as to distort it, but it can also foster learning new educational material. Analysis of study guides containing schemes and tables presents a substantial difference between them as well as variations of applying them in learning process. Schematization can be used for systematizing learning materials, development of critical thinking, seeking and implementing solutions. The author emphasizes effectiveness of supplying schemes and critical analysis, making schemes by students at individual and group work. It is concluded that schematization is taken as an effective method of teaching philosophy to students with non-philosophy majors.
