  • Cultural Influence on the International Strategy of Transnational Corpora-tions: an Industry Analysis Based on the Skincare Cosmetics Sector

    The relevance of this study is determined by the growing influence of the cultural factor on the international strategy of transnational corporations amid the digitalization of communication channels and intensifying competition in foreign consumer markets. The object of the study is the international strategy of transnational corporations in the skincare cosmetics industry. The subject of the study is the mechanisms through which cultural differences shape the choice of foreign market entry modes, brand positioning, and product and communication policies under conditions of heterogeneous global demand. The purpose of the study is to identify the nature of culture's influence on the international strategy of transnational corporations and to develop an applied model of cultural adaptation based on the skincare cosmetics industry.The methodological basis of the study comprises a comparative case analysis of the strategies of four transnational corporations (L'Oréal, Beiersdorf, Shiseido, and The Estée Lauder Companies), together with an original empirical survey of 313 respondents, testing the statistical significance of intergroup differences using Pearson's chi-square test. The findings show that basic functional product characteristics, namely skin-type fit and ingredient transparency, exhibit no statistically significant cross-cultural differences (p > 0.05), whereas symbolic perception parameters, including naturalness, ethical positioning, and cruelty-free labeling, differ significantly between the Russian and international audiences (p < 0.05). The study concludes that the effectiveness of international strategy in culturally sensitive consumer market categories is achieved through a combination of standardization and localization rather than a choice between them: by preserving a universal functional core of the product while flexibly adjusting the symbolic layer of the brand to cultural context. This conclusion underlies the proposed eight-stage decision-making model for the cultural adaptation of international strategy.

    The chapter provides a comprehensive analysis of the general concepts and key development directions of light industry companies in the Russian Federation over the horizon of 2026–2027. The relevance of the study is driven by a change in the phase of sectoral development: after the recovery growth of 2023–2025, the industry is entering a period of stabilization and structural restructuring, in which the key condition for competitiveness becomes not an increase in volumes, but the depth of localization, the quality of brands, and the sustainability of sales channels. An additional factor of uncertainty is the tightening, from January 1, 2027, of the localization assessment rules under Resolution No. 719, which sets new requirements for supply chains. The chapter examines the basic concepts of light industry, its sectoral structure, quantitative indicators for 2026, expected parameters for 2027, and the systemic challenges determining the development directions of companies. Based on the systematization of official data and expert assessments, three stable groups of companies are identified, and strategic guidelines for the industry are formulated.

    This chapter examines trends in the development of industrial ecosystems in the current context of digital economic transformation. The relevance of this study stems from the pervasive trend toward digitalization in the Russian Federation, which encompasses a wide range of industries. The aim of this study is to identify trends in the development of industrial ecosystems and develop a standard model for the development and transformation of industrial enterprise ecosystems. The theoretical and methodological basis of this study is comprised of empirical (expert assessments, study of production experience) and theoretical (systems analysis, categorical analysis, comparison, generalization, and decision-making) methods. The paper describes the tools that support the functioning of digital industrial ecosystems and provides examples of their successful implementation. Based on an analysis of publications by Russian scholars, principles are formulated, development strategies are described, and a standard model for the transformation of industrial enterprise ecosystems is proposed.

    Abstract:
    The article is devoted to improving the training of dairy industry technologists (specialty 19.03.03) in the context of technological development of the industry, with a focus on integrating professional, technological, and socio-pedagogical components. The article uses theoretical, systemic, and competence-based approaches, as well as a comparative analysis of training models. The empirical base is the experience of the Vologda State Agricultural Academy in implementing seamless education (schools, agricultural classes, secondary vocational education, and universities). The effectiveness of the model has been confirmed: the sequence of the 19.02.12 and 19.03.03 СПО and вуза programs has been ensured, and the conditions for seamlessness (continuity, adaptability to the labor market, and integration) have been identified. The model contributes to the formation of a set of competencies for graduates and their adaptation to production.

    This paper looks at project-based learning (PBL) and how it works in IT higher education today. The main question we tried to answer is whether doing real projects actually helps students become better professionals — not just better exam-takers. We go through the theory behind PBL, look at why it has become so relevant given current industry trends, and build a practical competency framework based on what the literature says. We also talk honestly about what makes PBL hard to implement, because in our view those challenges are just as important as the benefits. The short answer is: yes, PBL works — but only when it is set up properly and connected to real industry needs.

    The purpose of our research is to provide a brief and superficial analysis of the state of the two former Ushkov chemical factories, Kokshansky and Bondyuzhsky, in 1921, three years after their nationalization and a year before the end of the Russian Civil War. The author demonstrated the number of workers and employees, the range and volume of products produced, listed the main and auxiliary production areas, described the energy equipment of the Bondyuzhsky plant, etc. The analysis of archival materials revealed a sharp decrease in the real wages of workers and employees and the suspension of the Kokshansky plant's operations in June 1921.

    In the theoretical part of the chapter, the basic concepts of program-targeted management of socio-economic processes of territorial development are given and developed. The epistemological roots of the emergence and modification of this tool are identified, and modern typologies of project management structures and algorithms are presented, taking into account situational conditions. In the empirical part, specific conditions are considered that accompany the dynamics of the development of project management by the Kaluga Region State Unitary Enterprise Kalugadorkazachik in planning and ensuring the implementation of the Safe and High-Quality Roads national project in the region. It is the quality of infrastructure that largely determines the standard of living of the population, the investment attractiveness and the volume of financial (as well as other) assets, and the diversification of the real sectors of the regional (municipal) economy. Therefore, the interest in innovative updates to the program and target support, the use of unused reserves, and intensification is quite natural. In this regard, the experience of the Kaluga Region can serve as a standard for the further development of many other regions of the Russian Federation.

    Ensuring the successful development of road freight transportation in Russia is impossible without the wider use of digital systems. The aim of this study is to identify the specifics and challenges of using digital systems in road freight transportation management. The study found that, despite regular updates to strategic directions for the digital transformation of the Russian transport industry, the growth of the online road freight transportation market remains insufficient to ensure high levels of online penetration. Geoinformation systems, cloud technologies, and digital platforms have found widespread use in road freight transportation. To more effectively utilize digital systems, it is recommended to focus on developing prototypes of Level 5 autonomous trucks, launching the National Digital Transport and Logistics Platform, and expanding the use of artificial intelligence-based solutions, electronic navigation seals, and smart contracts.

    Abstract:
    In this article, an attempt is made to briefly and very superficially study the organization of the production of salolin on an industrial scale at the Nizhny Novgorod Chemical Plant of Z.M. Persitz in 1909-1912. The author reveals the relationship of chemistry and the chemical industry with industrial development. The importance of salolin, which acted as not only the most important raw material for various industries, but also was a socially significant product, at least at the beginning of the 20th century, is demonstrated. It is concluded that due to the successful development of the production of salolin, the Nizhny Novgorod Chemical Plant Z.M. Persitz has become one of the most advanced and high-tech industries of global importance.

    The article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the legal regulation of relations in the dynamically developing field of exhibition, fair, and congress activities (EFCA) in the Russian Federation. The relevance of the topic is due to the significant economic and image potential of this field, its role in stimulating entrepreneurship and developing international relations, as well as the existence of significant gaps in its legal support. The purpose of the study is to identify systemic problems in the legal regulation of EFCA and, based on this, to develop proposals for improving the current legislation.     The article addresses the pressing issue of skilled labor shortage in the metallurgical industry, caused by workforce aging and declining youth interest in industrial professions. An innovative approach to training future metallurgists is proposed through the introduction of the course "Formation of Professional Self-Awareness of the Future Metallurgist," based on the author's "Self-Awareness Development System." Particular emphasis is placed on developing personal maturity, conscious career choice, and a stable professional self-concept among students. To address workforce attrition, the retraining of older specialists via the "Instructor of Special Additional Education Courses" program is also proposed, fostering intergenerational knowledge transfer.     The purpose of the study is to develop a structural and functional model for training young highly qualified specialists with the necessary knowledge, competencies and practical experience in the area of activity of the enterprise (organization). The theoretical and methodological basis of the study is made up of empirical (expert assessments, study of teaching experience, experiment) and theoretical (system analysis, historical analogy, categorical analysis, comparison, generalization, decision making) methods. Also, when summarizing the research results, the method of statistical indicators was used, as well as methods of visual presentation of information. As a result of the study, analyzed literary sources and reviews of domestic and foreign authors on the formation and functioning of basic departments at enterprises. Based on the analysis, as well as in the interests of implementing the strategic goals of the basic department, the author proposed a three-level structural and functional model for training highly qualified specialists in the «school-university-enterprise» system.
