- Abstract:
- The creation of added value in early industrialized countries is currently defined by the transition to the fourth stage of industrialization, known as Industry 4.0. This development follows the third industrial revolution, which began in the early 1970s and relied on electronics and information technologies to achieve a high level of production automation. If information was the main element in the production function of post-industrial economies, then data is the key element in Industry 4.0. Industry 4.0 is characterized by the use of digital technologies, 'smart' concepts, ensuring continuous connectivity among all process participants, efficiency, and adherence to principles of sustainable development.

- Анализ и прогнозирование основных тенденций современной экономики на макро-, мезо- и микроуровне
- Abstract:
- This comprehensive analysis delves into the intricate dynamics of the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, employing a multifaceted approach to assess the competitive landscape. Utilizing both 2-factor and 7-factor competition models, the study scrutinizes the market positions and growth trajectories of 20 prominent companies over a specified period. In the initial exploration, the 2-factor model establishes FMX and WMT as formidable contenders, while ABT emerges as an outsider facing challenges. A subsequent shift in focus to the 7-factor model reveals nuanced reevaluations, positioning WMT as the industry leader, FMX as a strong contender, and ABT with a significantly elevated ranking. Additional entities, namely MDLZ, CHSCL, WKC, and PPA, are identified as outsiders in this extended model. It is crucial to note that the 'outsider' designation contextualizes their position relative to industry leaders but does not diminish their substantial market value. This in-depth examination contributes to a nuanced understanding of competitive forces within the FMCG sector, offering valuable insights for strategic decision-making.

- Abstract:
- The article touches on the fact that for a long time, engineers designing products had no information about how those products then performed in real life. For them, the products were sent like «to the dark side of the moon». Managing the complete life cycle of a product from idea to decommissioning remained an idea from the realm of science fiction. Now everything has changed. Industrial enterprises introduced the technology concept of a «digital twin», a computer image corresponding to a specific physical product. From now on, if a product is equipped with sensors (at the design stage or during modernization), it is possible to organize a full-fledged feedback loop. The product will collect data from the real world and transmit it to the digital world.

- Глава 4
- Abstract:
- Today, during the period of the sanctions impact on Russia by foreign unfriendly countries, the role and importance of the regulatory function of foreign economic activity, the need for its improvement and adaptation to the changed conditions are increasing as never before. In this way, the author considers the tools of currency and export control, as well as tariff and non-tariff methods of regulation to be the most effective. Using the example of the customs industry, scientists conducted a retrospective study of the possibilities of intensification of existing activity algorithms. The reliability of the obtained results is ensured by the use of multifactor analysis, system, complex, process and situational approaches to the reference points of the studied problem. The conclusion is made about non-compliance with the balance of priorities (the predominance of the fiscal function over law enforcement), excessive liberalization of Russian legislation in foreign economic activity, relatively weak interdepartmental interaction. Measures are proposed to correct of imperfections by improving the risk profile and a number of other measures.

The Third All-Russian Congress of Military-Industrial Committees in 1917
Book ChapterEconomics and Law: problems, strategy, monitoring- Author:
- Svetlana E. Rudneva
- Work direction:
- Глава 10
- Abstract:
- The chapter examines the history of the Third All-Russian Congress of Military-Industrial Committees in May 1917, in the conditions of the ongoing World War I, in a difficult period after the February Revolution of 1917 in Russia. It was in industry that, in the circumstances of wartime, all the organizing threads that ensured the integrity of the national organism and resistance to various destructive phenomena were concentrated. To maintain the normal course of production, assistance was required from all the organized forces of the country that were close to this case. First of all, this was to be expected from the military-industrial organization, which formed a coherent wide network of institutions – local and regional committees, headed by the central one. The research uses the methods of scientific search: concrete historical, problem-chronological, systematization and comparative analysis of the material. It is shown that the III All-Russian Congress of Representatives of the Military-Industrial committees, who for two years were at the head of the military industry, certainly could not pass by the disturbing issues of the moment that required immediate resolution.

- Abstract:
- Based on the analysis of specific legislative initiatives of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, it has been proved that the method of economic incentives for organizations with private capital to increase investment by changing the income tax rate depending on the share of reinvested profit is sharply inferior in terms of economic efficiency to the method based on changing the VAT rate. The shortcomings of the initiative (with "manual control") of the Government of the Russian Federation to reduce the VAT rate by 20 points for organizations of the ship repair industry are revealed. Based on the official data of the Federal Tax Service, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, an analysis was made of the effectiveness of the “manual control” investment mechanisms in the Tax Code of the Russian Federation and the new direct action mechanism to stimulate investment activity. Three options for the implementation of a new mechanism were analyzed, which would further increase the volume of private investment in the industry of the Russian Federation up to 1 trillion rubles per year. To do this, it is necessary to reduce the VAT rate by 2–5 points for industrial organizations that reinvest more than 50% of their profits, and to compensate for shortfalls in federal budget revenues from VAT, increase the federal income tax rate by 0,2–0,5 points. At the same time, it is not necessary to increase the base income tax rate. It is proved that the new mechanism does not require "manual control" and can be used in the form of a direct action law, which brings the system of encouraging investments in industry to a qualitatively different (higher) level.

- Abstract:
- When selecting equivalent and adequate translation solutions in transferring industrial terminology in the Russian & English language pair, attention is normally focused on rendering lexical units that make up the term. Grammatical features of terminological units are established, however, considered a characteristic of the original language, which in the target language can be subject to translation transformations. Nevertheless, grammatical arrangement of terms can be used to codify production technology is overlooked. Accordingly, translation of terminology should reflect selection of adequate equivalents not only in terms of language correspondences, but also account for reflecting the encoded technology by the term. To test this hypothesis we used the continuous sampling method. Terms of Siberian the cosmetic & food industry were selected in Russian texts, their equivalents were identified in parallel English texts, a structural and semantic analysis of the terms in the original language was carried out, translation transformations applied in the translation were established, the degree of adequacy in the transfer of the encoded production technology in the target language was identified. The established results are recommended to be used in practical translation disciplines of the «Translation and Translation Studies» profile, as well as in the development of the Theory of Translation courses.
