    The article examines the features of the organization of education for schoolchildren in the city of Yaroslavl during the Great Patriotic War. The sources used were materials from the municipal archive of the city of Yaroslavl and the catalog of the exhibition of the Museum of the History of the City of Yaroslavl named after V.G. Izvekov «Mood – Victory». The author paid special attention to the state of the material base of schools and the organization of the educational process during the war years.

    The article presents research on the history of the creation of monuments to the fallen soldiers of the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945 in the Spassky district. Reliable information has been disclosed on how the creation, opening of monuments to fallen soldiers and their further condition took place. The important role of the memory of the people in the patriotic education of young people through memorials is indicated.

    Abstract:
    The article is devoted to the events of the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945, the attitude of the people to tragic events through the prism of moral and ethical qualities, the inner world of the heroes is shown. Everyone who took part in the fighting, or was in the rear, realized that the fate of the country depended on him. The war exposes the inner content of both the individual and the ethnic community. It has been established that the moral and ethical qualities of a person during the struggle for their Fatherland can symbolize the concepts of patriotism and courage, which, undoubtedly, can become an example for the younger generation. In addition to the destruction of cities, villages, and infrastructure, tragic events also occurred with people. The story of the fate of one person in the war is refracted into the common tragedy of the whole people, according to which we trace the philosophical concepts of regularity of chance and, general and particular.

    Familiarizing students with the components of the basics of ecology only in natural science lessons is ineffective. Therefore, it is important to develop environmental education through a system of additional education for children. At the same time, one of the means may be the organization of a network of educational ecological trails. Educational and research activities, excursions along the ecological path, competitions, contests held directly in the natural environment contribute to improving the level of patriotic education, ecological culture and deepening students' knowledge about their native land. The network interaction of teachers of institutions of additional education and teachers of secondary schools of the district, by combining them into an initiative group, allows them to unite their ideas, pedagogical experience and develop the most effective methods of educational work, remote small schools.

    The article reveals the current ideas of K.D. Ushinsky about the education of patriotism and how these ideas are implemented in the education of students (as a methodological basis, the author of the article uses a personal-activity approach, the foundations of which are laid by K.D. Ushinsky). It is considered how patriotic education of students is organized during the educational process, how educational projects and tasks are based on digital, Internet technologies characteristic of the youth subculture for its effectiveness, attractiveness for young people (according to Ushinsky's idea, a person should be educated according to the "spirit of the times", the social environment, culture).     The chapter is devoted to the problems of formation of professional sense of justice of lawyers, that receiving education in the system of departmental universities. There is a tendency to reduce the overall level of culture and to increase infantilism, the existence of gaps in the moral consciousness of a significant part of young people. These factors have a negative impact on the formation of professional legal awareness of the law enforcement system’s future employees. A particularly disturbing tendency is the crisis of the national identity of this part of the youth, since law enforcement officers, at the time of their professional duties, act on behalf of the state. As a means of overcoming these negative aspects, a system of state-patriotic education is proposed, designed to develop a sense of national pride and professional responsibility.

  • On the Role of Public Cossack Associations in the Patriotic Education of Young People

    The purpose of writing this article is due to the decision of the problem of activating the patriotic education of young people, in particular, students of universities, on the basis of spiritual and moral principles and values of the Russian Cossacks, taking into account the participation of public Cossack associations (PCA) in the implementation of state youth policy. In the process of research methods were used: observation, conversation, modern information technology, the study of historical and normative legal documents for the drawing of the Roadmap for the development of the system of continuous Cossack education. Results. The conducted review shows that the social markers that form the basis of Cossack identity are highlighted and, in general, understood by society, associated with patriotism, love for the Motherland and the Orthodox worldview. In the process of Cossack revival the pedagogical and educational potential of Cossack culture was discovered, based on the values of democracy, on the one hand, and on the traditions of statehood, on the other. Although marked by a certain transformation of the Cossack idea in the direction of «militarization», this process does not contradict the basic principles of Cossack education, which became the basis of interaction between universities and OKO in the educational process. Conclusions. The analysis of organizational and pedagogical forms of youth upbringing with participation of modern OKOs shows by the example of the South of Russia (Krasnodar Territory, Rostov Region) that a certain stage of formation in the educational system has already been passed and represents a four-dimensional model, including the younger generation from preschoolers to students. The last stage of the model is in the formation stage, which is characterized by the creation in 2021 of the Association of Cossack universities of Russia and the signing of the Roadmaps for implementing joint, scientific, educational and social activities of universities and public Cossack associations, defining a new round of development of Cossack higher education and patriotic education of the university youth.

  • Formation of a Personality of Value-patriotic Orientation Among Cadets of Military Universities

    The formation of a value-patriotic orientation is considered as the most important task in the formation of the personality of cadets of military universities. In the personality structure of cadets of military universities, the defining values are: patriotism, social and political activity, desire to serve in the forces, love of sports, need for movement, interest in physical culture, hard work in physical education classes, special knowledge of physical culture, social status, perseverance in achieving goals, presence of wit, perseverance of character, sociability, the attitude of fellow students, friends among others. It is revealed that the level of sports qualifications of cadets of military universities, in comparison with low, contributes less to the formation of value-patriotic orientations according to the following parameters characterizing the personality: patriotism, social and political activity, readiness to accomplish a feat in the name of the Motherland, readiness to work in the name of the Motherland, interest in politics, desire to serve in the forces, a sense of duty and obligation to comrades, teachers. The level of sports qualifications has little impact on these values. Cadets with low sports qualifications in relation to highly qualified athletes have a greater tendency to manifest negative personal values characteristic of this group: they put their interests above others, more often get into unpleasant life situations, conflict with others and show great aggressiveness. Means of pedagogical influence should be used In the formation of positive attitudes of patriotic orientation. The paper presents a methodology for the formation of value-patriotic orientation among cadets of military universities. This methodology includes the principles, content, use of innovative forms, methods and means of pedagogical influence.

Special attention should be paid to the patriotic education of students of a technical university. The research conducted in the chapter shows an insufficient level of patriotism among students. The directions of work with students in the process of teaching are shown. If the teacher is a patriot, his students will also become patriots. Attention should be paid to the education of migrants who study at Russian universities. They should become patriots of their new homeland.
