    The museum room in a kindergarten is considered by the authors as a resource for the historical and patriotic education of preschool children using the example of the Great Patriotic War and the Battle of Stalingrad. The ethno-cultural Cossack component of the formation of historical consciousness is being updated.

    Abstract:
    Addressing the life of the Russian language as the basis of existence of our people, conscious and purposeful study of the Russian language and teaching it as a native, a second native language, also its dissemination in the world is indispensable and paramount condition for the preservation of the Russian civilization. In all recent conceptual documents, legislative acts, federal and regional programs, the issues of promoting the preservation and development of the Russian language and culture are given a central place. The problem of preserving and developing Russian language and culture and ethno-cultural identity, stated in the chapter, is the issue of preserving one's belonging to a system of cultural values, a set of knowledge, social group experience and traditions developed by ancestors over many centuries.
