- Dysphonic voice disorders (hoarseness, deafness, lack of voice flight) in preschool children can be caused by various etiopathogenetic reasons and resulting mechanisms of voice disorders. Dysphonia as one the symptoms of voice impairment, is often present in hard palate pathology, including submucous clefts, where speech intelligibility deteriorates against the background of voice nasalization. In a submucous cleft there is an underdevelopment of palatine plates and inferiority of the muscular system of the soft palate, change in the position of the vocal folds there is functional pathological mechanism of closure and impaired speech breathing. Dysphonia component in the syndromic pattern with nodules of voice folds. This is due to the absence of a closure phase during phonation: a slit appears in the form of an «hourglass». The muscles of the cervical and shoulder girdle begin to actively participate in phone respiration and voice formation. The so-called «nodular mechanism of voice formation» is formed and fixed. The chapter presents the observation of a 4-year-old child with severe speech disorders: open rhinophony and rhinolalia, nodules of voice folds, dysphony, dysarthria, general speech underdevelopment. The issues of complex neurological, neuro-physiological, phoniatric and speech therapy diagnostics and considered. The tactics of targeted, differentiated route of corrective phono-speech therapy support depending on the features of the structure of the articulation apparatus, the specifics of voting, sound pronunciation, strength and duration of pathological phono-speech skills, the state of all speech subsystems, psychological and neurophysiological processes have been developed.

Sound-syllabic structure of speech formation specificities of children with general underdevelopment of speech

- The article deals with the features of underdevelopment of speech of 1–4 level of preschool and primary school children in terms of the formation of sound-syllabic structure. The quantitative and qualitative description of characteristic errors and shortcomings in speech of children with General underdevelopment of speech (motor alalia, dysarthria, rhinolalia), the influence of insufficiency of mastering the sound-syllabic structure on the formation of writing is given. The authors rely on the results of modern research of scientists in the field of speech therapy: Titova T.A., Levina R. E., Filicheva T.B., Markova A.K., Usanova O.N. Materials of the article can be used by speech therapists and teachers in the analysis and classification of identified speech disorders of children with underdevelopment of speech in the field of sound-syllabic structure.
