- Abstract:
- The chapter is devoted to studying the attitude of various representatives of the medical community towards the introduction of distance learning elements into the educational process of a medical university. This topic is very relevant in view of the just ended pandemic of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19. At the same time, the composition of the research objects, which included 150 people, men and women, divided into 3 groups of 50 people, also arouses additional interest in this work. Group 1 consisted of 5th year students of the Faculty of Medicine of VSMU named after. N.N. Burdenko. The 2nd group included practicing doctors of various specialties of the BUZ VOKB No. 1. Group 3 consisted of teachers from VSMU named after. N.N. Burdenko. Respondents were asked to give a general assessment of various elements of the complex learning process at a university – practical classes, lecture material, and to evaluate not only full-time education, but also distance learning. Moreover, all of the above points received high marks from respondents of all 3 groups, which may indicate the high quality of the educational process at the university. The next stage was to clarify the attitude towards distance learning elements, in particular about the possibility of using distance learning elements in general, about the possible transfer of lecture material to a distance course, about the possible complete transfer of the learning process to a distance format, including CME. At the same time, the possibility of transferring lecture material, CME and the general use of distance learning elements found live confirmation and approval among the subjects. Only the complete transfer of the learning process to a distance channel caused a negative reaction, because it is impossible to raise and train a full-fledged, competent and qualified specialist only remotely, which is especially important in relation to medical education. This chapter may be of some interest to higher education teachers and medical university professors.

- Глава 14
- Abstract:
- The chapter is devoted to determining the prevalence of iron deficiency anemia (IDA) in students with the consequences of early organic damage to the central nervous system. The increased interest in this disease is due to a number of circumstances. Firstly, hypoxia of the brain in IDA affects the cognitive abilities of minors. Secondly, this disease in children with intellectual disabilities provokes diseases of the cardiovascular system in 62.5%, visual impairment in 31.2%, and pathology of the urinary system in 38.7%. Research methods. For the presence or absence of iron deficiency anemia, in the period from 2015 to 2023, medical documents of 653 students from different nosological groups associated with cognitive impairment were examined. The study made it possible to draw the following conclusions: the prevalence of IDA in children with F80 (expressive speech disorder) is 20%, with F83 (mixed specific disorders of psychological development) – 31%, with F70 (mild mental retardation) – 52%, with F71 (moderate mental retardation) – 33%. The total number of minors with a history of iron deficiency anemia is high. More than 40% of all students and pupils with disabilities (HIA) who study according to adapted programs due to intellectual and speech disorders may need social dispatching assistance from specialists of PMPC and school councils. The results of the study may be of interest to a wide range of medical and pedagogical specialists. Doctors are asked a problematic question about why, with moderate mental retardation and more pronounced (significant) cognitive impairments, the prevalence of IDA is significantly lower compared to mild mental retardation. Using specific clinical examples, teachers are described various algorithms of social dispatching assistance to families to prevent possible secondary violations in minors.

- Abstract:
- More than 20 years the two-level system of higher education within the framework of Bologna system has been developing in the Russian Federation. However, it proved to be untenable for the Russian Federation, as it significantly reduced the quality of training of university students as professionals demanded by domestic organisations. Under the conditions of economic sanctions against Russia by the USA and a number of countries, it became necessary to implement the import substitution strategy. But its implementation required the development of industry, opening of new enterprises and production facilities, which, in turn, required professionals capable of doing this. As a consequence, it was necessary to change the system of training the necessary specialists in domestic universities. The study of the identified problems was carried out taking into account the practical experience of the author, using the method of included observation and discussion of the identified problems at various conferences, as well as the study of various studies on this issue.

- Psychology in Education
- Abstract:
- The current political situation emphasizes the necessity to maintain the image of the country, Russian culture and language, Russian-language education in the world. In the conditions of the educational process of the university, the problem of maintaining motivation to study among students of the international faculty, which directly depends on the atmosphere in the student group, is topical. The article reflects the results of the research aimed at approbation of the program of work with students of international faculty based on the application of elements of traditional cultures (traditional and folk games, communicative norms and traditions, elements of folk folklore, etc.) as a tool to overcome tension and conflict in student groups studying Russian as a foreign language. The method of questionnaire survey, psychological testing, and expert evaluations were used to assess conflict and distance. Conclusions: the organization of work with students of the international faculty within the framework of the psychological service of the university has its own specificity, different from the work with Russian-speaking students; the use of elements of traditional culture (traditional and folk games, communicative norms and traditions, elements of folk folklore, etc.) is appropriate for solving the problems of psychological support of foreign students during the period of study.

Estimating the coherence of mental representations of category “emotion” in non-psychologist and psychologist students
Research ArticleDevelopment of education Volume 6 No 3- Author:
- Svetlana S. Fedosina
- Work direction:
- Psychology in Education
- Abstract:
- Psychologists studying emotion repeatedly noted that the meaning of the concept of «emotion» in both everyday and scientific area is characterized by insufficient coherence and fuzzy boundaries. This raises the question of whether the representations of people in everyday life include a related set of properties that characterize emotions as a class of phenomena, and whether these representations differ in non-psychologist and psychologist students. Our goal was to study the coherence of mental representations of emotions as a class of phenomena among psychologist and non-psychologist students. Participants included non-psychologist (100 male, 110 female, mean age – 19 years) and psychologist students (31 male, 159 female, mean age – 20 years). Methods used included the method of definitions, the method of associations; the coherence of the answers was estimated with frequency analysis, the method of family resemblance by E. Roche, the Pearson association coefficient, the method for calculating the indices of coherence, divergence and structure organization proposed by A.V. Karpov. The results of the study showed that non-psychologist students' answers were characterized the lower level of categorical validity, structure coherence, overall organization, established less amount of correlations then psychologist students' answers. It can be concluded that mental representations of non-psychologist students demonstrate lower coherence than psychologist students. The observed differences may be due to the fact that psychologist students learn scientific concepts of emotion as part of their education. At the same time, the answers that psychologist students give cannot be called completely coherent, which may be due to the difficulty of identifying a related set of properties that consist the meaning of the scientific concept of emotion. In conclusion are given some recommendations for the teacher aimed at increasing the level of coherence in mental representations of emotions among students.

Research ArticleDevelopment of education Volume 6 No 2- Authors:
- Irina A. Shtobbe, Olga V. Azarova
- Work direction:
- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- The article presents the experience of teaching chemistry to foreign students of a medical university. To facilitate the understanding of educational material in chemistry by foreign students, the didactic potential of university lectures has been expanded. Every year, Russian universities accept citizens from more than 170 countries to study. The annual growth in the number of foreign students corresponds to the national course for further integration into the educational and scientific community of the allied states. The relevance of the study is determined by the need of Russian universities to develop educational and methodological materials in a foreign language for training programs for foreign students. The aim of this study is to facilitate the understanding of lecture material, and, as a result, to increase the effectiveness of teaching chemistry to foreign students of a medical university through the use of an English-language course of lectures in the learning process. Within this work, using the method of students questionnaire survey, a pedagogical study of the attitude of foreign students to the use of a course of chemistry lectures in English was carried out. The study involved 80 foreign students of Altai State Medical University, citizens of far abroad countries. It was found that the described course of lectures minimizes the difficulties of foreign students' perception of large amounts of educational material (97.5% of respondents), increases the efficiency of independent work (92.5%), helps to overcome the language barrier when teaching in an intermediary language (67.5%), as a result, there is a general interest of foreign students in chemistry as a science (95%), facilitating of educational material understanding and an increase in academic performance (96.2% of those who successfully passed the exam in chemistry compared to 60% of students in the control group). Thus, we came to the conclusion that the use of a developed English-language course of lectures in the teaching chemistry makes it easier for students to perceive the lecture material and improve the quality of chemistry education for foreign students.

- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- There is a growing need for high-quality education that prepares students for the complex challenges of the modern world. As a result, the use of tutoring services is becoming increasingly common in the education system. However, it is necessary to study the opinions of high school students about the role of tutors and the use of their services in the educational process to determine the effectiveness of this approach. The relevance of this research lies in determining high school students' perceptions of tutors' role in the educational process. High school students are a key group of tutoring service consumers, and their opinions about tutors' role in the educational process may influence decisions about using such services. In this study, a survey method was used. The survey questions addressed students' opinions about tutors' role in the educational process, as well as their personal experience with using tutoring services. The analysis of the data showed that high school students generally have positive attitudes towards tutors and consider them important helpers in the learning process. Most of the survey participants noted positive results from using tutoring services, such as improved academic performance and confidence in their knowledge. However, some drawbacks of using tutoring services were also identified, such as high cost, mismatch of the tutor's and student's knowledge levels, and insufficient effectiveness in some cases. The use of tutoring services can be an effective tool for improving academic performance and motivation among high school students, but the drawbacks and limitations of this approach should be taken into account. The results of this study can be useful for school administrations, parents, and high school students in making decisions about using tutoring services in the educational process.
