In the modern methodology of teaching English, the problem of finding effective means of developing students' phonetic competence is urgent. The article suggests a solution to this problem through the use of online platforms in English lessons. The options for using the online platform "Playphrase. Me" at different stages of the lesson. It is proved that the use of online platforms helps to increase motivation, engagement and effectiveness of teaching the phonetic side of speech. The research results can be used by English language teachers to optimize the learning process.
