Physical Education of Students in the Context of the Lifelong Learning Concept
Research Article
Development of education Volume 9 No 2- Author:
- Ekaterina G. Saiganova
- Work direction:
- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- The article examines the problem of modernizing the physical education system in higher education from the perspective of the lifelong learning concept. Modern socio-economic conditions, characterized by rapidly changing professional requirements and the deteriorating somatic health of young people, necessitate a revision of the traditional paradigm of physical education as a purely disciplinary course limited to the period of study at university. The aim of the study is to provide a theoretical justification and empirically test the effectiveness of a physical education model for students focused on developing health-preserving competencies and motivation for lifelong regular physical activity. Results: after implementing the model, the experimental group showed a significant increase in motivation by 49.4% (p ≤ 0.05), the level of self-monitoring competencies increased by 76.7%, and the frequency of independent exercise increased 4.2fold. The proportion of students intending to continue physical activity after graduation increased from 13% to 58%, and this effect persisted three months after the experiment (52%). The experimental results showed that implementing the author's model, which includes variable modules, self-monitoring elements, and a digital tracking platform, significantly increases the level of motivation for physical exercise and the formation of lifelong self-education competencies in the field of physical culture. It is argued that physical education for students should serve not as an isolated course but as a launching pad for an individual trajectory of physical self-improvement. The lifelong learning concept transforms the goals of physical education – from meeting standards to a culture of health, from compulsory classes to conscious self-organization. The proposed model can be scaled across the higher education system.

GAME DESIGN AS A TOOL FOR INCREASING ENGAGEMENT IN EDUCATION
Conference PaperEffective practices of educational and management activities in the education system- Authors:
- Kristina A. Puzanova, Daria A. Erokhina, Artiom R. Lakomov
- Work direction:
- Методическое и управленческое развитие образовательной организации
- Abstract:
- This article examines the problem of student demotivation in the modern educational system and proposes an approach to solving it through the use of game design principles. The phenomenon of “boredom” is analyzed as a result of a mismatch between the complexity of educational material and the learner’s level of preparation. The concept of “flow” is considered as a state of deep engagement in activity. The article identifies the main problems of traditional education: lack of immediate feedback, uniform difficulty level for all students, monotony of learning, and lack of progress visualization. To solve these problems, the article proposes mechanics borrowed from the gaming industry: adaptive difficulty, task variability, achievement systems, and instant feedback. The educational platform Duolingo is analyzed as an example. The risks of excessive gamification and suppression of intrinsic motivation are also discussed.

- Work direction:
- Глава 4
- Abstract:
- The chapter examines theoretical and applied aspects of the development of information and educational needs of students in the context of digital transformation of higher education. Based on the analysis of strategic documents and a review of Russian and foreign studies, key areas of digitalization are identified: creation of a digital educational environment, formation of “digital maturity”, distance learning, integration of online platforms (RESH, YaKlass, ReshuEGE). Contradictions are revealed between student interests and platform technical capabilities, between personal data protection and its security level, between innovative and traditional forms of education. External and internal drivers of digital transformation are identified, as well as technical, organizational, staffing and socio-cultural barriers. The development of students' educational needs should be based on systematic integrated projects, digital portfolios and methodological recommendations for mastering digital skills. Information culture is seen as an indicator of professional competence and successful socialization. It is concluded that digital transformation requires the restructuring of all university structures, the reorientation of the teacher to a moderator and mentor, as well as the formation of students' motives for continuous self-education.

The principle of Historicism as a means of motivating students to study geometry in grades 7-9
Book Chapter

- Olga A. Kozhokar, Ekaterina I. Astafeva
- Work direction:
- Глава 19
- Abstract:
- The chapter discusses the problem of increasing motivation to study geometry in grades 7–9 through the implementation of the principle of historicism. The relevance is due to a decrease in students' interest in mathematics, the formalization of education and the isolation of the subject from real life. The internal and external motives of learning are highlighted, and it is shown that external reinforcement (marks) can reduce internal motivation. It is noted that the principle of historicism allows us to consider science in aspects of the past, present and future, forming a holistic view of the subject and its practical significance. A system of tasks based on a backbone is proposed. The realization of the principle of historicism promotes a meaningful perception of geometry and an increase in the motivation of students.

- Глава 20
- Abstract:
- This chapter presents the results of a pedagogical experiment that tested the effectiveness of a developed system of tasks aimed at increasing students' motivation to learn Russian. The control group studied using traditional methods, while the experimental group incorporated special motivational tasks based on regional language and speech material into their in-class and extracurricular activities. Three methods are described in detail: a “Table of Forbidden Words” (developing speech culture and self-control), a project-based study of a poem by a local author (updating the cultural code), and a translation analysis of a regional text. Quantitative and qualitative results of the initial and final assessments are presented, as well as a comparative analysis of the academic performance and engagement levels of students in the experimental and control classes. These findings demonstrate consistent positive trends. Qualitative changes were also recorded-increased cognitive independence, decreased anxiety, and increased engagement in class. It is concluded that the inclusion of regionally-focused motivational tasks is effective not only in increasing interest in the Russian language but also in improving subject achievement among students in grades 5 and 6.

- Abstract:
- The chapter examines psychological and pedagogical conditions for personality development of students in a children’s music school within the context of musical activity. The paper presents the results of a longitudinal study conducted on a sample of students enrolled in pre-professional music programs at a children’s music school. The study employed methods aimed at identifying motivational tendencies, anxiety level, self-esteem, attitudes toward learning, and value orientations. The findings show that musically gifted children maintain a positive attitude toward music studies throughout the learning process, while cognitive and educational-professional motivation remains pronounced; adequate self-esteem and generally favorable anxiety dynamics are also observed. It is demonstrated that the most important conditions for personality development are a supportive music-educational environment, trusting teacher-student relationships, and family support. The authors conclude that the combination of these conditions contributes not only to the development of musical abilities, but also to the formation of the child’s personality, especially during the transition from primary school age to adolescence.
