  • Analysis of high school students' perceptions of tutors in the educational process

    Abstract:
    There is a growing need for high-quality education that prepares students for the complex challenges of the modern world. As a result, the use of tutoring services is becoming increasingly common in the education system. However, it is necessary to study the opinions of high school students about the role of tutors and the use of their services in the educational process to determine the effectiveness of this approach. The relevance of this research lies in determining high school students' perceptions of tutors' role in the educational process. High school students are a key group of tutoring service consumers, and their opinions about tutors' role in the educational process may influence decisions about using such services. In this study, a survey method was used. The survey questions addressed students' opinions about tutors' role in the educational process, as well as their personal experience with using tutoring services. The analysis of the data showed that high school students generally have positive attitudes towards tutors and consider them important helpers in the learning process. Most of the survey participants noted positive results from using tutoring services, such as improved academic performance and confidence in their knowledge. However, some drawbacks of using tutoring services were also identified, such as high cost, mismatch of the tutor's and student's knowledge levels, and insufficient effectiveness in some cases. The use of tutoring services can be an effective tool for improving academic performance and motivation among high school students, but the drawbacks and limitations of this approach should be taken into account. The results of this study can be useful for school administrations, parents, and high school students in making decisions about using tutoring services in the educational process.

    The article presents an analysis of the formation of educational motivation of younger schoolchildren in conditions of different technical equipment of the educational process. The relevance of the research is determined by the fact that in the modern world there is an active development of new technologies. Competent use of technical equipment in the educational process can only develop students' interest in obtaining knowledge, thereby increasing their level of educational motivation. The purpose of the study is to study the formation of educational motivation of younger schoolchildren in conditions of different technical equipment of the educational process. The authors hypothesized that younger schoolchildren studying in conditions of good technical equipment of the educational process have a higher level of motivation for educational activities. The sample set of the study was made up of students of the 2nd and 4th grades of budgetary educational institutions “secondary school №. 124”, “secondary school № 30”. The stages and the complex of psychological techniques are described. Features of conducting and results of the study of educational motivation of students of schools with different technical equipment. The study was conducted by testing the typology of teaching motives, assessing school motivation and its level in elementary school students. In conclusion, the article presents conclusions about the presence of differences in the educational motivation of students in different conditions of technical equipment. It was found that students of the 2nd grades in the conditions of modern equipment of the educational process are more motivated to study.

    Abstract:
    The chapter presents the data of empirical research about the formation of educational and dominant motivation of elementary school children. The connections between the peculiarities of the motivational sphere and the conditions of its development in elementary school age – the styles of pedagogical leadership of the class and the family parenting styles are considered. The trends in the development of motivation of elementary school children in the system of the additional education are analyzed using a children's music school as a case study. It is shown that the success of a child's education in a children's music school is directly related to the diagnostics of musical abilities (the choice of an educational program); development of musical abilities; the formation of special skills and abilities; personal development (including the formation of a motivational system).

    Abstract:
    The chapter discusses the topic of the possibility of increasing professional motivation in the process of group counseling and suggests one of the options for the consultation program. The relevance of the study of group consultations as a means of increasing the professional motivation of retail employees is dictated by the peculiarity of the conditions of the modern market, where the demand for personnel significantly exceeds the supply. A study was conducted on the basis of an organization engaged in retail trade. 30 people took part in the experiment. In the course of the work, the theoretical and methodological foundations and approaches in the direction of studying motivation in general and staff motivation in particular were studied. The author has developed and tested a program of group psychological counseling in order to increase the professional motivation of the organization's staff. As a result of the formative experiment, it was possible to develop in the group participants a desire to master new knowledge, change their attitude to increased requirements, be interested in responsible and difficult tasks, take responsibility in work and decision-making, develop purposefulness and perseverance in achieving goals, increase the desire for professional growth.

    The article analyzes some psychological characteristics of students that are associated with the success of mastering a foreign language. The article presents the results of a study of the relationship between academic performance in a foreign language and cognitive functions (memory), motivation, and communicative abilities of students in grades 5–7. Introduction. The article examines the external and internal factors that are associated with the success of mastering a foreign language. Summarizing various approaches, the authors identified cognitive, motivational and communicative features of students that affect the success of mastering a foreign language, one of the indicators of which is the level of academic performance. Materials and methods of research. To study the relationship between academic performance in a foreign language and individual characteristics of students: memory, motivation, communicative abilities, the article presents the results of the study. To study the psychological characteristics of students in grades 5–7, the authors used the following psychodiagnostic techniques: «Memorization of 10 words» (A.R. Luria), «Methods for studying the motivation of the teaching of adolescents» (M.I. Lukyanova, N.V. Kalinina), «Communicative and organizational inclinations (KOS)" (V.V. Sinyavsky, V.A. Fedoroshin). Results and their discussion. The results of the study showed the relationship of academic performance in a foreign language with the level of auditory memory, with internal motivation to learn a foreign language and with the communicative abilities of students. Conclusions. The article concludes that it is necessary for teachers to use game technologies in foreign language lessons for the formation of auditory memory, active teaching methods, elements of psychological and communicative trainings, IT technologies for the development of internal motivation to learn a foreign language and communicative inclinations and abilities of students.

An important point in the learning environment is that motivation is a means of increasing the effectiveness of any learning activity, which is also reflected in the study of the Kyrgyz language. We will consider various ways, techniques and methods as a means of increasing educational motivation when learning Kyrgyz language. Turning to the students' own goals and needs, considering motivation as an element of the objective world of the individual, it is important to understand that teachers can only indirectly influence it, create needs and conditions based on interests. Therefore, touching on these beliefs, the article also puts forward such ways in which the people themselves, who learn the language, can independently increase their own motivation to learn Kyrgyz to maintain the effectiveness of learning, for this, the basic rules are presented, with the help of which you can independently formulate your goals correctly. The principles of pedagogical practice organization and factors influencing its effectiveness are revealed. The connection between the motivation of professional activity and the professional orientation of students and their personal trajectory of the development of professional skills and abilities is revealed. The relevance of the research is due to the state and social need to prepare a new generation that contributes to the development and prosperity of the state. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proclaimed around the world, which are reflected in the sustainable development program adopted by the world leaders of 193 countries under the auspices of the United Nations, are aimed at promoting sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all. The orientation of the UN Member States in creating their programs and developing political strategies for the next years (until 2030) on 17 goals, one of the first of which is SDG4: ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.     Globalization of economy, rapidly developing new technologies and enormous information flows dictate new requirements for the organization of a higher education process in the field of engineering. Taking into account the situation on the world labour market, new educational standards are being developed for training engineering personnel to gain the required professional competencies. A special place is occupied by a foreign language professional communicative competence. The purpose of the article is to consider a foreign language training of future engineers at a technical university in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for Higher Education of a new generation. It is of great importance to form a basic level of foreign language professional competence among students of technical specialties for effective intercultural professional communication. The article touches upon universal foreign language competencies according to the requirements of the program for the specialty «Aircraft and helicopter design». The peculiarities of a two-stage organization of the foreign language educational process is also discussed. It is argued that the effectiveness of teaching is inextricably linked with the formation of motivation among students and depends on understanding the connection of their future profession with the practical application of a foreign language. The use of a personality-oriented approach helps to develop a number of necessary qualities and make future graduates competitive on the world labour market according to the requirements of modern employers. The conclusion regarding the modernization of the foreign language training with all positive and negative aspects arising in the process of teaching a foreign language at a technical university is made.

    High educational level is, to some extent, a guarantee of qualitative performance of one’s professional capacity. Professionalism of medical care workers drastically defines the quality of medical service. One of the factors of successful educational process is the level of student’s motivation which is connected to their future career orientation. The following work offers the results of the research conducted among 1–4-year students – bachelors of nursing (overall 200 people were examined which makes up to 92.5% of all students). Research base: Faculty of Higher Nursing Education, Pavlov St. Petersburg State Medical University. The program included questioning and testing of the students. The motivational test by F. Herzberg was used, and the test by E. Shein “Anchors of a career” (adapted by V.A. Chiker and V.E. Vinogradova). The general and differentiated by courses preferred motivational attitudes of students and their career orientations, as well as correlations between them, were determined. It was found that, in general, the leading motives are: financial motivation; responsibility; interest in the content of the work, although the ratio varies depending on the year of the students. There are practically no reliable significant correlations between motives. The main career orientations are stability and service. The severity of different orientations and the correlations between them differ among students of different year. The correlations between motives and orientations are rather weak.

  • Methods of Formation of Motivation to Learn a Foreign Language at the Middle Stage of Education

    The process of forming the motivation to learn as the basis for the effectiveness of the educational process continues to be a relevant object of research. The effectiveness of the learning process is largely determined by the students’ attitude to this process. The purpose of our research was to analyze the effectiveness of project methods using authentic materials to increase the motivation of middle school students to learn a foreign language. The study took place in the gymnasium during the on-the-job training. The experimental group consisted of students who were trained by «English» teaching materials by O. Afanasyeva and I. Mikheeva. In the experimental class the curriculum was supplemented with the application of the project method, game technologies and the use of authentic materials. The preparation of methodological materials for the study consisted of creating a technological map of the lesson and preparing additional materials and handouts for students. The article analyzes the results of the application of the project method with the use of game technologies and authentic materials for the formation of motivation to learn a foreign language at the middle stage of training. The article presents the results of a pedagogical study with an example of creating a technological map of a lesson, recommendations for increasing motivation to learn a foreign language at the middle stage of training. Based on the results of the study, the recommendations to increase motivation to learn a foreign language at the middle stage of education have been developed.

    The article is devoted to clarifying the content and principles of socially-integrative approach in university education based on the fundamentalization of education. The purpose of the study is to consider the socio-integrative approach as a significant idea in the implementation of university education. The following research methods were used: theoretical analysis of interdisciplinary literature, interpretation, synthesis, generalization and summarization. As a result, the theoretical basis of integration was formalized, and a set of principles was identified: voluntariness, adequacy, variability, integration and differentiation, motivation and stimulation, with a description of the requirements contained in them for effective implementation of the socio-integrative approach in the implementation of higher university education at the present stage of society development. This is presented for discussion. The conclusions give the reasons for ineffective activity of universities: departmental limitations and interdepartmental disunity; lack of unified organizational and methodological approaches in the implementation of interaction; lack of wide and rationally organized support of public initiatives, activities of non-governmental organizations, which violates their coherence, common understanding of goals and objectives of higher education.

    Abstract:
    The main problem of maintaining efficiency in the conditions of teleworking is that for enterprises and workers who previously did not have experience of working from home-office, this situation is a certain stress. The authors of the article presented the organizational mechanism of team management in the conditions of remote work, as a set of tools for making managerial decisions. One of the main aspects of the mechanism is to improve the efficiency of motivating employees, while it is recommended to use the investment motivation model.
