The article examines the importance of folk art for the development of communication skills in children with autism spectrum disorders. It discusses how folk tales contribute to the formation of social skills, the expansion of speech stock and improve interaction with others.

The article describes the possibility of using folk art to develop communication skills in children with autism spectrum disorders. The stages of correctional and developmental work are considered. The effectiveness of using folk tales for the formation of social skills in preschoolers is shown, and a comparative analysis of the research results is given.
