The article compares the conditions for the formation of social causality in older preschool children in two fundamentally different environments: family and boarding school. Social causality is considered as a key cognitive ability that allows children to analyze cause-and-effect relationships in interpersonal relationships, predict the behavior of others, and adapt to society.
