Annotation
The article examines methodological approaches to developing social and everyday skills in students with severe multiple developmental disorders (SMDD). It describes an algorithm for integrating phases I–IV of the PECS protocol into daily routine activities (dressing, eating, hygiene). It is substantiated that the use of alternative communication tools makes it possible to transform everyday activities from a format of forced care into an interaction where the child acts as the initiator of contact with an adult, which is a key factor in their socialization.
