    Conscientious and responsible attitude to military service, loyalty to the oath are distinctive features of the Chuvash mentality. These qualities were especially vividly manifested during the Great Patriotic War. Service in the army and defence of the Motherland as a man's civic duty are considered as one of the main values of the Russian society. Old soldier's blessings and family front stories can be used in the formation of a sense of patriotism and citizenship of modern young men.

    В статье предпринята попытка рассмотреть город Симбирск через его социально-культурную среду, т.к. в рассматриваемый период он был городом, реализующим в государственном смысле функцию административного центра, а в социально-экономическом аспекте – местом, куда стремились попасть и закрепиться наиболее успешные торговцы, предприниматели, служащие, чиновники с довольно большой территории. При этом первичную базу населения Симбирска с XVII века составили «служилые люди» – военные и администраторы. Несмотря на отход оборонительных функций города на второстепенный план, культурная и ментальная характеристика именно этого социального слоя составила ту матрицу социокультурной среды Симбирска, в которую затем встраивались последующие переселенцы.

Автором предлагается рассматривать в качестве методологического основания философско-образовательного дискурса феномен менталитета общества / ментальности личности, устойчивый в пространстве исторической темпоральности.

  • Some Features of the Lexicon of the Russian Language Personality

    Abstract:
    The article deals with the process of modern Russian linguistic personality vocabulary enrichment as a result of cultural-historic development of Russia in concert with the Russian language. The purpose of the article is to describe and analyze semantically-structural features of lexical units being the most relevant and widely used in the modern Russian linguistic personality vocabulary; to characterize the «linguistic personality» term based on the native and foreign linguist scientific studies; to interrelate active vocabulary enrichment of modern linguistic personality with cultural-historic development of language, nation, country. The following linguistic investigation methods were used: method of observation, method of description, method of content analysis, method of scoring. As the result of study 5 lexical units, the most relevant and significant from national history and modern geopolitics viewpoint, used in speech of contemporary native speakers of Russian living both in Russia and outside, were discovered, described and analyzed: «alphabet», «satellite», «Sputnik V», «the Trans-Siberian Railroad», and «the Baykal-Amur Mainline» words. Conclusion. Cultural-historic development of nation and country encourages evolution of language system lexical level which leads to vocabulary enrichment of linguistic personality using this language as means of communication.

This approach reflects the correlation of the concepts considered by us with the levels of education received by a person. Despite the many approaches to media education, all models of media education are connected by a common statement and solution of the problems discussed in the article.

    Abstract:
    The article is devoted to identifying the role of the «Dictionary of the Chuvash language» by N.I. Ashmarin in revealing the mental foundations of modern Chuvash and in determining the sociocultural and psychological type of character of the Chuvash. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that during the period of globalization and universalization of cultures, the return to the original values of the nation, the search for individual-folk traits of a person's character in his worldview and lifestyle, which is most clearly recorded in his language, is of great importance. The human language retains a large amount of information that contributes to its spiritual, scientific, technical and industrial development. Therefore, the analysis of vocabulary also contributes to the study of the history of the development of man, people, nation, humanity. The purpose of the research is to study the socio-historical, cultural and ethical information enshrined in the vocabulary of the people and recorded in this dictionary. The principles of methodology, that reflect elements of conceptology, hermeneutics and general philology are used in the study. It is concluded that the Chuvash language (more broadly, the Chuvash culture) is an integral part of the ancient Turkic world, therefore research in this direction expands the framework of understanding the philosophy, history, theology and everyday life of the Chuvash people.

  • Ethnic Specificity of Cultural Codes

    Abstract:
    The author compares and analyzes some definitions of the concept of cultural code offered by Russian and foreign linguists and semiologists. Aspects of this concept are singled out and described. Regulatory, semiotic and retransmitting functions of cultural codes are briefly characterized. The relationship between the concepts of cultural code and picture of the world is revealed. The author’s interpretation of the concept of cultural code is given, the ethnic specificity of cultural codes is revealed, its factors are described, participation of cultural codes in forming ethnic mentality is demonstrated. The author shows discrepancies in understanding reality due to the difference in the cultural codes used and points out that the role of cultural code can be performed by any perceptible area of reality: landscapes, natural phenomena, fauna, flora, artifacts (household utensils, tools, weapons, garments of clothes, dwelling places etc.) and actions with the listed items. All this is regarded in the article as semiotic means of thinking and communication. Methods. The analysis of cultural codes was carried out by using the methods of cross-cultural analysis and interlingual comparison on the material of English and Russian metaphoric set phrases. Conclusion. The conclusion is made concerning the influence of cultural codes on the choice of the path of historic development and, ultimately, on the fates of nations.

  • National Cinematograph and National Mind-Set

    Abstract:
    The article is devoted to the problem of national cinematograph in the conditions of the dominance of mass cinema products at the market, especially the American film industry. Paradigms and criteria in the definition of national (ethnic) cinema are presented. The aim of the article is to confirm its working hypothesis, which is that the development of national cinematograph becomes significant only when, reproducing by filming their own narratives, imbued with national mind-set, the authors create cinematographic artifacts with their own manner, style, language, which is able to develop and enrich the film language. The descriptive and analytical methodology used in conjunction with the historical and genetic method allows us to come to certain conclusions. These findings consist in the position that such national cinematograph becomes pervasive, which is permeated by the national mind-set and at the same time responds to both ethnic and world cultural challenges, creates national narratives that due to their relevance become meta-ethnic narratives. An analysis of the existing definitions and properties of what should be understood as national cinematograph allows one to discuss the topic of what the essence of national cinema is: in the local and regional desire to establish itself as having a right to exist, or in the meta-ethnic aspect, which allows national cinema to become a direction in cinema. Thus, the necessary property of national cinematograph for its equal existence among others, the author singles out such a feature as the situation of passionarity in which the nation lives. Its mind-set creates its own national narrative, and therefore its own cinema language. The article is the part of a fundamental study on the theory of cinema, in which the main points are categories such as "film narrative", "conventionality of cinematograph" and "film language".

Прослеживается процесс изменений ментальных черт нашего народа на протяжении истории страны под воздействием различных внутренних и внешних факторов. Обосновывается необходимость формулирования и широкой пропаганды среди населения РФ идеологии патриотизма и стабилизирующей роли в истории страны именно русского народа, вынесшего на себе все беды, невзгоды и сохранившего нашу государственность на благо всех живущих в России граждан.

    Проблема перевода вообще и фразеологических единиц в частности в художественных текстах остается до сих пор актуальной. Существует несколько путей перевода устойчивых словосочетаний, однако не всегда переводчикам удается добиться сохранения образности, аксиологии, интенций автора, заложенных в идиоме. В этой связи не всегда до читателей доходит качественный перевод. И, безусловно, более всего трудностей вызывает перевод фразеологизмов. Автор статьи опирается на идеи В.В. Виноградова, который основным критерием отнесения или неотнесения того или иного сочетания слов к фразеологии русского языка считал наличие или отсутствие у него фразеологически связанного значения слова. Новизна исследования состоит в том, что мы предлагаем называть данные слова символически связанными, то есть соотнести изучение фразеологизмов, а также их перевод с культурой народа, его ментальными особенностями. Цель работы состоит в апробации подобной возможности перевода с использованием метода сравнительного анализа фразеологизмов русского и английского языков в художественных произведениях. Также в статье затрагивается лингвокультурологический метод исследования проблемы. Автор утверждает, что фразеологизм организуется вокруг одного или нескольких символов. Символ является одним из стержней, обеспечивающих целостность фразеологизма. Символическое значение ключевого слова фразеологизма – это конкретное воплощение того или иного символа в слове. Немотивированные фразеологические единицы занимают в художественной литературе значительное место. После апробации гипотезы автор пришел к выводу, что перевод тогда может считаться удачным, когда во вторичном тексте сохраняется символика, которая подразумевалась автором в том или ином устойчивом выражении. Символическими значениями обладают ключевые слова любого фразеологизма. То есть предлагается сделать акцент на символических значениях ключевых слов фразеологизмов при переводе.

Обосновано, что Завещание И.Я. Яковлева чувашскому народу является непреходящей нравственной ценностью для педагогической практики и принятия решений, связанных с воспитанием и просвещением в эпоху социальных перемен.

Философская методология на основе структурно-системного, сравнительно-сопоставительного анализа и обзора ключевых факторов развития социокультурного пространства региона выражает необходимость осмысления культуры и образования с познавательной точки зрения и выявления наиболее общих закономерностей их функционирования. Показана перспективность реализованных в образовательной практике Чувашской Республики духовно-нравственных ориентиров, предложенных как наследие просветителя И.Я. Яковлева. Обобщаются признаки и оценки этнического мировоззрения и регионального менталитета.
