  • The Relationship Between the Level of Academic Performance in a Foreign Language and Some Psychological Characteristics of Students

    Abstract:
    The article analyzes some psychological characteristics of students that are associated with the success of mastering a foreign language. The article presents the results of a study of the relationship between academic performance in a foreign language and cognitive functions (memory), motivation, and communicative abilities of students in grades 5–7. Introduction. The article examines the external and internal factors that are associated with the success of mastering a foreign language. Summarizing various approaches, the authors identified cognitive, motivational and communicative features of students that affect the success of mastering a foreign language, one of the indicators of which is the level of academic performance. Materials and methods of research. To study the relationship between academic performance in a foreign language and individual characteristics of students: memory, motivation, communicative abilities, the article presents the results of the study. To study the psychological characteristics of students in grades 5–7, the authors used the following psychodiagnostic techniques: «Memorization of 10 words» (A.R. Luria), «Methods for studying the motivation of the teaching of adolescents» (M.I. Lukyanova, N.V. Kalinina), «Communicative and organizational inclinations (KOS)" (V.V. Sinyavsky, V.A. Fedoroshin). Results and their discussion. The results of the study showed the relationship of academic performance in a foreign language with the level of auditory memory, with internal motivation to learn a foreign language and with the communicative abilities of students. Conclusions. The article concludes that it is necessary for teachers to use game technologies in foreign language lessons for the formation of auditory memory, active teaching methods, elements of psychological and communicative trainings, IT technologies for the development of internal motivation to learn a foreign language and communicative inclinations and abilities of students.

Представлены результаты исследований о мнениях студентов относительно принципов здорового питания, основных проблем их формирования в высшем учебном заведении. В исследовании показано, что психологическое влияние имеет особое место в процессе формирования здорового образа жизни.

    Проведено теоретическое и практическое исследование психологических особенностей ученического коллектива на этапе адаптации в пятом классе. Отмечено, что период перехода в среднюю школу совпадает с таким рядом проблем, как социализация и адаптация в новой среде обучения, а также психологическое и физиологическое изменение организма. Установлено, что адаптационный процесс коллектива учащихся будет проходить более эффективно, если своевременно выявить их психологические особенности, а также разработать и реализовать программу сплочения, учитывая возрастные и психологические особенности учащихся.

    The authors of the article considered officer families, defined the role and importance of the family for the officer, highlighted the socio-psychological characteristics of the family of a serviceman, taking into account the influence of the specifics of military service on it. The authors gave an answer to the question how to create a prosperous and happy family for officers, taking into account four types of compatibility, presented the results of a survey conducted among female servicemen studying at the Military Academy of Communications, who answered the question: "What factors of well-being of an officer's family in the modern world do you consider the main ones?", gave recommendations for the preservation of prosperous relationships in young officer families.

Кроме того, в этом возрасте стабилизируются черты характера и основные формы межличностного поведения. Все эти качества развиваются в процессе общения подростка с людьми. Общение становится ведущим занятием подростка. Оно играет очень важную роль в формировании и развитии самосознания, и правильный образ «Я» создается у ребенка только тогда, когда окружающие его люди искренне заинтересованы в нем. В статье рассматриваются психологические особенности взаимодействия подростков со сверстниками.

    Abstract:
    В статье представлен теоретический обзор проблемы исследования психологических особенностей лиц, отказывающихся от рождения детей. В качестве диагностических методов применялись: авторская анкета, методика В.В. Бойко «Диагностика уровня эмпатии», методика диагностики М. Рокича (методика «Ценностные ориентации»), методика исследования локуса контроля Дж. Роттера, опросник «Индекс жизненного стиля» (Р. Плутчика). Выборку исследования составили женщины репродуктивного возраста. Всего в исследованиях участвовали 30 человек. В ходе исследования было выявлено, что психологическими особенностями лиц, отказывающихся от рождения детей, являются: низкая эмпатия, ценности материальных благ, карьеры и самоуважения, внешний локус-контроль и механизм психологической защиты – отрицание, в отличие от лиц, согласных иметь детей.

    A scientific analysis on the problem of gifted children is presented, and both positive and negative age-psychological features of gifted primary school children are thoroughly characterized.
