The somonym component baş ‘head’ in the phraseology and proverbs of the Dobrujan Tatars and the Volga Tatars (functional-semantic analysis)
Research Article
Ethnic Culture Volume 7 No 2- Authors:
- Fyaridya I. Tagirova, Ilgamiya I. Sabitova
- Work direction:
- World languages and literature
- Abstract:
- The article analyzes the functional and semantic features of the existence of the component-somonym "baş" (head) in the phraseology and proverbs of the Dobrudzha Tatars and the Volga Tatars in a comparative aspect. Illustrative material for comparison with the Tatar literary language was selected from special and explanatory dictionaries and collections of folklore. The work uses the method of functional-semantic analysis, as well as the analysis of phraseological units of the compared languages for the similarity of the plan of internal semantic content and the plan of lexical expression. The well-known thesis on the conservatism and stability of vocabulary denoting parts of the body is confirmed by this material. The results of the analysis of the dictionary of Nadrat Mahmut and Anvar Mahmut "Atalar sözi", as well as factual material from other sources, indicate that the phraseological units of the Romanian Tatars with the somonym "baş" have both full and partial parallels in the Tatar literary language. In this article, the authors try to demonstrate the similarity of lexical-semantic processes and the linguacultural similarity of the compared idioms using specific examples. It can be seen in the compared phraseological units both in terms of expression and in terms of content, which allows us to judge their common roots. The observed differences are primarily due to the fact that the formation of the linguaculture of idioms took place separately for a long time, surrounded by different cultures.

- Work direction:
- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- Learning is working with a variety of educational texts based on reading, understanding, evaluating and interpreting information. To identify the result of reading an educational mathematical text and the quality of understanding the meaning of the text space created by educational materials, it is necessary to diagnose reading, namely, the level of semantic reading. In the modern study of reading, the PISA international monitoring, the concept of reading literacy, its components and levels are defined. The success of understanding more complex educational mathematical texts will depend on the level of reader literacy. If the levels of reading literacy have evaluation criteria and diagnostic apparatus, then how to assess the level of semantic reading? The article examines the relationship between the levels of reading literacy and text comprehension, models for assessing the semantic complexity of the text and semantic reading skills, various level structures for diagnosing the understanding of a mathematical educational text. Based on the studied scientific material, the complexity of the educational mathematical text "Triangle" was assessed according to criteria such as the number of words, simple words, scientific terms and their complexity, the number of mentions of scientific terms in each paragraph. Diagnostic material has also been created to check the understanding of this text, each task of which is aimed at determining the understanding of each information block and assessing the degree of development of semantic reading.

- World languages and literature
- Abstract:
- The article presents the results of the analysis of German secondary nominations with Schwein or Sau zoonyms. The aim of the analysis was to identify common and nationally specific features of these nominations against the background of their Russian equivalents. The relevance of this study is due to the need for a comprehensive study of secondary nominations, taking into account their axiological aspects, which have a certain cultural uniqueness and cause nationally unique semantic transformations in the lexical meaning of these units. The study used the methods of descriptive, comparative-comparative, component analysis, the method of critical dictionary analysis and dictionary definitions. These methods allowed us to conclude that the nominative potential of the secondary meanings of the German zoonym Schwein or Sau is more pronounced in comparison with their Russian equivalents. The analysis also showed a wider evaluative spectrum of German units and a greater variability of the axiological component in their lexical meaning both under the influence of the contextual environment and without it. Secondary nominations with the indicated zoonyms in their composition were selected as the main material of the study, identified by means of a continuous sampling from German explanatory, encyclopedic, phraseological and linguocultural dictionaries, German language resources, as well as German-Russian dictionaries.

- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- The article presents the results of a study of the peculiarities of the information security culture of students of technical universities. The relevance is due to the globalization of digital technologies penetrating into all spheres of human life, both socio-political, state, professional and personal, which clearly determines the need for the formation and development of an information security culture. This issue is especially relevant in relation to students of technical universities – future specialists in the engineering industry, since they will work with technical systems and information that may be subject to various threats in the field of information security. The effectiveness of programs for the formation and development of an information security culture is largely determined by the study of the features and specifics of the manifestation of its components (technical, cognitive, behavioral, and value-semantic). The study was carried out in the form of a ascertaining experiment using the author's diagnostic questionnaire "The level of information security culture". 781 students of the Volga branch of MADI took part in the study. Based on the highlighted structure of the information security culture, the study established the specific features of the formation of its components among students of a technical university, namely, the results of the study revealed insufficient fixation in the minds of students of a technical university of the values of information security culture, a low level of patterns of safe behavior, with the general development of technical literacy in the digital space.

The question of the syntactic status of substantives in Russian identity sentences
Research Article
Ethnic Culture Volume 6 No 1- Author:
- Natalia V. Knyazeva
- Work direction:
- World languages and literature
- Abstract:
- A multi aspect study of bisubstantive sentences of characterizing semantics is necessary to solve complex problems of syntactic analysis. The grammatical specificity of bisubstantial sentences lies in the morphological identity of the predicative minimum. The study has theoretical and practical tasks: identify the structural, semantic and communicative organization of sentences, propose methodological recommendations for syntactic analysis of sentences. The material of the study is modern literature. Analytical and descriptive methods are used to analyze the linguistic material. The problems of teaching syntactic analysis of sentences are identified through experimental methods. The main conclusions of the study: syntactic analysis of bisubstantial sentences should consist of traditional structural and semantic parameters, roles and functions in the semantic structure and communicative organization of a sentence, take into account context, stylistic and pragmatic factors. Syntactic phenomena should be studied from the functional position at all stages and levels of teaching syntax of the modern Russian language.

The semantic field of wood ritual objects in the Russian spell rite
Research Article
Ethnic Culture Volume 6 No 1- Author:
- Veronika A. Moskvina
- Work direction:
- World languages and literature
- Abstract:
- The article examines the subject code of the Russian spell tradition using the example of a group of ritual objects of wood origin. This group has received insufficient attention in research, as evidenced by a brief review of the literature. The material for the analysis is the main publications of Russian conspiracies, as well as field materials recorded by the author in the period from 2003 to 2023 in the Omsk Irtysh region. The purpose of this work is to determine the semantic field of a group of wood objects in Russian spells, as well as to identify the relationship between a ritual object and its verbal and symbolic embodiment. The main method of research – historical-typological – allows us to draw typological parallels in order to clarify the boundaries of the semantic field, which includes ritual objects of the group being studied. The article also implements complex and cross-genre approaches. The analysis showed the widespread use of ritual objects of wooden origin in the Russian charm tradition. Objects are included in the text of the conspiracy as independent images and can be used relatively independently of the verbal component of the conspiracy. The semantics of the ritual object is in accordance with the functional and thematic orientation of the spell and is determined by its content. An examination of two objects – a bitch and a sliver – revealed an expansion of their functions and semantic field in in Russian spells of Siberian. This conclusion determines the direction of further research into spells paraphernalia in the aspect of the mutual influence of aboriginal and settler traditions.

- Psychology in Education
- Abstract:
- Introduction. A crisis situation is a broad notion that includes a crisis event that caused life difficulties, the crisis state experienced, the person himself as the subject of the situation and other participants in it, as well as other internal and external circumstances. Stress resistance and human behavior in a crisis situation are largely determined by the way a person evaluates what is happening. The selection of significant events from the context of the situation largely depends on the person's perception of what is happening. The aim of the research is to study the image of a crisis situation and its consequences on the basis of students' perceptions. Materials and methods. The research involved 1st-4th year students studying in the educational institution “F. Skorina Gomel State University”. The sample of research was composed of 369 students (181 boys and 188 girls) aged from 16 to 24. The average age of the respondents was 18.6. As a psychodiagnostic toolkit was used the original method “Image of a crisis situation” (N.G. Novak). Results of the research and their discussion. The analysis of respondents' perceptions revealed the image of a crisis event, the image of a crisis condition, as well as perceptions of possible consequences of experiencing a crisis event. Conclusions: modern Belarusian students reflect a crisis event as sudden, destructive, undesirable, unusual, unexpected, abrupt, threatening, useless, excessive, takes away strength, a person feels a sense of internal tension, a sense of internal instability, confusion, lack of control over the situation, depletion of adaptive resources, understands that something needs to be done, that something needs to be done (it will not resolve itself), but does not know exactly how to behave, feels the need for support, and asks for help himself, ready to support and help others; key signs of a crisis state: timid, angry, sad, tired, excited, sensitive, gloomy, upset, annoyed, agitated, emotionally unstable, a sense of injustice, senselessness, misunderstanding of what is happening, anxiety, confusion, hatred, quiet, silent, honest, noble, dependent, lost, intelligent, passive; positive and negative poles are defined, reflecting the likely consequences of the process of experiencing a crisis event.

Linguistic representation of the concept “market” in attributive structures (based on the British publicistic text)
Review Article
Ethnic Culture Volume 5 No 2- Authors:
- Vera V. Koroleva, Marina S. Rumyantseva
- Work direction:
- World languages and literature
- Abstract:
- The article reveals the notion of “attribute” and provides the characteristic features of the attributive syntactic structures of the analyzed concept “market”. The purpose of the study is to describe the structure and semantics of the following syntactic models: N + N, P + N, DJ + N, PT + N, NU + N, with the nuclear lexeme “market” in publicistic texts. The relevance of the work is due to the insufficiency of study of the concept we are examining at the syntactic level. The main focus is on the analysis of prepositional one- and two-component attributive structures, as well as the characteristics of the semantic relationships of the elements of the phrase. The material for the study was the articles from the magazine “The Economist” (2023). In the course of the work, the methods of conceptual, contextual, semantic and logical analysis were used. The results of the research showed that the syntactic structures of the substantive and adjective group are the most frequent in the studied texts. The connection of the lexemes within the selected contexts is conditioned on semantic relationships of performance, belonging or purpose. Consideration of attributive phrases makes it possible to expand the following slots of the concept under study: market mechanism, market structure and state of market by including lexemes defining the core lexical unit.

The Scope and Content of the Notion of Phraseomatic Unit (Based on the English Language Material)
Research Article
Ethnic Culture Volume 4 No 3- Authors:
- Vladimir M. Savitskij, Denis V. Gadalin
- Work direction:
- World languages and literature
- Abstract:
- The purpose of the research described in the article is to further develop the definition of phraseomatic units and find their position in the system of idiomatics. The research methods applied in the work include dictionary definitions analysis, semantic analysis, comparative analysis. The results of the research are as follows: in the course of analysis the authors showed the characteristic features of phraseomatic units against the background of other kinds of idiomatic units of language; characterized the types of meaning reinterpretation in the process of phrases’ semantic transposition in general and in the process of phraseomatic units generation in particular; revealed the predominant sphere of their speech usage (the discourse of professional communication). The prospects of further research are: studying phraseomatisms in connection with their terminological function, their ability to determine the most important quality of the object of nomination, are bound to deepen our understanding of their place in the system of idiomatics, and therefore they are sure to bring us closer to solving the riddle of idiomaticity. Phraseomatic units and other idiomatic units of language must be studied within the framework of a unified theory of idiomatics. All kinds of idiomatic units have not only specific but also common features, which makes it possible to unify them into one structural and semantic class.

- Work direction:
- Ethnography, Ethnology and Anthropology
- Abstract:
- The article deals with the concept of a home in traditional culture. It is argued that in the mythopoetic tradition, universal principles of creating a house were formed. This deserves attention today, because the main thesis in the concept of a home was the idea of the ontological dimension of everyday life, of the close connection of the spiritual and the material, of the connection of philosophical ideas and everyday actions. In traditional culture, everyday life was associated with the origins of being, was the sphere of application of creative forces. The object of research is the practice of building peasant houses in the medieval period, as well as in the XVIII-XIX centuries, their architecture and interior, their relationship with the surrounding landscape. The author uses general historical, semiotic and hermeneutical methods of research. The article systematizes the architectural principles of building a traditional home, which made the peasant house a prototype of the cosmos, a model of the universe. The author analyzes such structural elements of the mythological picture of the world as the tree of life, the world axis, the cross, the sacrifice, and their application in architecture. The author considers the ideas about the heterogeneity of space in the mythological culture and how they were used in the construction of the house; the function of doors, windows, gates in the symbolic structure of the house is investigated. The conclusion is made about the trinity of information, energy and matter in traditional culture.

- Abstract:
- The article is devoted to the lexical and semantic analysis of Chuvash hydronyms. The purpose of the study is to classify the names of water bodies by lexical and semantic groups, to identify the main principles of the nomination of hydro-names. The article deals with the names of rivers and streams, lakes and ponds, swamps and swampy places, the names of springs and wells. The main material for the analysis was collected by the author during field research, data from the toponymic file of the Scientific Archive of the CSUH and various cartographic sources, maps of land stored in rural administrations of the Chuvash Republic were used. The main methods are descriptive, comparative, typological, and statistical ones. The results of the study showed that according to the lexical and semantic classification, Chuvash hydronyms are divided into two groups: 1) hydronyms that reflect the physical and geographical properties of water bodies and their environment; 2) hydronyms that have arisen as a result of practical human activity. Most of the names of water bodies are based on a specific feature of the geographical realities themselves. Their Chuvash language can be grouped into the following subgroups: 1) names containing a significant feature of the object; 2) names indicating the ground, soil; 3) names related to the plant world; 4) names associated with the animal world; 5) names indicating the location of the water body; 6) names expressed by numerical indicators; 7) figurative and metaphorical names. Hydronyms that have arisen as a result of the practical activity of a person are divided into the following subgroups: 1) hydronyms related to the life and economic life of the population; 2) hydronyms whose meanings are related to the social life and spiritual culture of the population; 3) hydronyms derived from anthroponyms; 4) hydronyms derived from ethnonyms; 5) hydronyms derived from toponyms. It is concluded that as a result of lexical and semantic analysis, it is possible to establish the principles of the nomination of hydronymes, to identify the physical and geographical characteristics of the area, to obtain new information about the material and spiritual culture of the Chuvash people.

Dependency Between Grammatical Structure of Language and Verbal Thinking Strategies
Research Article
Ethnic Culture No 3 (4)- Author:
- Ekaterina V. Savitskaya
- Work direction:
- Problems of Crosslinguistic and Intercultural Communication
- Abstract:
- The article contains a discussion of how the grammatical structure of a language determines sentence structure and affects verbal thinking strategy. The stages of languages’ historic development (incorporative, ergative, nominative) and the relationship between sentence structure and native speakers’ thinking are characterized. The common case of the grammatical subject of a sentence does mean that Anglo-Saxons regard themselves as their own fortune’s active makers and masters. The common case equally expresses success and failure, activity and passivity, self-will and conformity. Nowadays, languages of all the three types coexist on the Globe. The languages of the first two types are used not only by primitive peoples but also by civilized nations. But this does not mean that civilized speakers think archaically. Methods and conclusions. Contrastive analysis of language material (English personal and Russian impersonal morphosyntactic constructions) enables the author to conclude: there is no direct correlation between national character and sentence structure. The connection between thinking and grammar does not consist in this; it consists in the choice of thinking strategies based on the grammatical potential of the language under discussion.

Today, BPMN notation is often used as a tool for extracting requirements for information systems. BPMN provides executable semantics that make it possible not only to draw up a detailed specification of a business process, but also to model it with numerical estimates. The aims of this study are to choose tools for teaching students from the number provided by BPMN notation: descriptive, analytical and executable, which allow to implement the third level of modeling; to define a methodology for teaching business modeling, including the ability to execute business processes in the universal BPMN runtimes and as an add-on on the configuration of the information system. The following methods have been used: comparative analysis and testing of the functionality provided for the development of business processes in the Bizagi and 1C: Enterprise tool environments, including the creation of the data and presentation layers necessary for BPMN execution. As a result, the main stages of business modeling are formulated, a functional comparison of tools for working at the following stages has been carried out: development of a business process model; development of a data layer that supports the execution of the process; mapping data to process tasks – forms of user tasks; programming business rules governing the process; execution of a business process by user-performer. The peculiarity of 1C: Enterprise is that the business process is essentially a superstructure over the layers of data and representations of the finished configuration of a process-oriented information system. The authors believe that both the first and the second approach deserve attention in terms of the educational process at the university for students of 09.03.02 «Information systems and technologies» specialty.
