The problem of humanitarization of ecology and environmental education in the context of solving environmental problems
Review Article
Development of education Volume 7 No 4- Author:
- Ekaterina V. Petrova
- Work direction:
- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- The article is devoted to the analysis of the current trend in environmental science and environmental education – humanitarization. A brief description of the stages and varieties of environmental education and upbringing is given and it is concluded that at all stages one of the main goals of environmental education is the development of a full–fledged, comprehensive environmental consciousness and environmental culture. A developed environmental awareness and ecological culture are powerful weapons in the fight against the environmental crisis. The most effective in this regard is humanitarian ecology, the task of which is to form in the minds of students a valuable, personal, ethical, aesthetic attitude to nature, awareness of the unity of humanity and nature. Environmental awareness cannot be formed only on the basis of a system of environmental prohibitions and information about environmental disasters. Culture, society, symbolic worlds (for example, digital) occupy an increasing place in the human mind, displacing the natural world from it. The task of humanitarian ecology is to return nature to man, albeit in an indirect, refracted form. It is possible to accomplish this task through the use of an environmental narrative, artistic and aesthetic means, and moral and environmental education. The humanitarization of environmental education is recognized as the main vector of its development until 2030.

The study was conducted using diagnostic methods of value-moral-spiritual orientations of the individual, subjectivization of the natural object, the dominant orientation of the individual in relation to nature, egocentric associations and correlation analysis (according to Pearson) of the individual results of the study obtained in the diagnosis. - Familiarizing students with the components of the basics of ecology only in natural science lessons is ineffective. Therefore, it is important to develop environmental education through a system of additional education for children. At the same time, one of the means may be the organization of a network of educational ecological trails. Educational and research activities, excursions along the ecological path, competitions, contests held directly in the natural environment contribute to improving the level of patriotic education, ecological culture and deepening students' knowledge about their native land. The network interaction of teachers of institutions of additional education and teachers of secondary schools of the district, by combining them into an initiative group, allows them to unite their ideas, pedagogical experience and develop the most effective methods of educational work, remote small schools.

- Theoretical and Applied Education Research
- Abstract:
- The article is devoted to the analysis of the role that environmental education and upbringing play in the formation of eco-friendly awareness and thinking. The author outlines that at the moment, it is becoming clear that it is impossible to overcome the ecological crisis exclusively by technical means. It is also noted that the creation of a system of environmental education and upbringing is one of the most important ways to overcome the environmental crisis. The result of the work of such a system should be the formation of a developed eco-friendly awareness among all age and social groups. Theoretical bases. The features of environmentalism and the principles of eco-friendly awareness formulated by N.F. Reimers are reviewed; the main requirements for modern environmental education are analyzed. Special attention is paid to ecological culture in the philosophy of ecology. The scientific and educational projects in the field of ecology aimed at the exchange of experience and practical skills between the older and younger generations are described. As part of the course "History and philosophy of science" at the Institute of philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, postgraduate students of biological specialties are taught a course on the basics of bio-and ecophilosophy to develop a holistic worldview in the field of science under study. It is concluded that environmental education contributes to the development of eco-friendly awareness, ecological culture and eco-friendly thinking, which is the most important condition for overcoming the environmental crisis and the harmonious coexistence of humanity and nature.
